² And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters.

²⁶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.

¹⁰ He has compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

⁴ For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

⁶ By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁴ He tells the number of the stars; he calls them all by their names.

³ All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

⁷ He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth on nothing.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.

³ Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

³ When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; ⁴ What is man, that you are mindful of him? and the son of man, that you visit him?

²² It is he that sits on the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:

¹ The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.

³ Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
