³¹ Then said Jesus to those Jews that believed on him: If you continue in my word, you are my disciples indeed, ³² and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who, by unrighteousness, restrain the truth. ¹⁹ Because that which may be known of God, is manifest among them; for God has made it manifest to them, ²⁰ (for, since the creation of the world, his attributes, which are invisible, are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, both his eternal power and divinity,) that they may be without excuse;

¹⁷ So, then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

²¹ Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. ²² Abstain from every appearance of evil.

² And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may learn what the will of God is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect.

³⁶ He that believes on the Son has eternal life. But he that believes not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes on him should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world, through him, might be saved. ¹⁸ He that believes on him is not condemned; but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
