Bible verses about "vulnerability" | BLB
Matthew 18:21-22
1 Corinthians 15:33
33 Do not be misled: “Bad companionships corrupt good morals.”
2 Corinthians 4:7
7 Now we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be from God, and not from us,
Philippians 2:5-10
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider to be equal with God something to be grasped,
7 but emptied Himself, having taken the form of a servant, having been made in the likeness of men.
8 And having been found in appearance as a man He humbled Himself, having become obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Therefore God also highly exalted Him, and granted to Him the name above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in the heavens and on earth and under the earth,
Galatians 6:2
2 Bear one another’s burdens and thus you will fulfill the law of Christ.
John 13:34-35
Luke 6:27-36
27 But to you hearing I say: Love your enemies, do good to those hating you,
28 bless those cursing you, pray for those mistreating you.
29 To the one striking you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from the one taking away your cloak, do not withhold the tunic also.
30 Give to everyone asking you, and from the one taking away what is yours, do not ask it back.
31 And as you desire that men should do to you, do likewise to them.
32 And if you love those loving you, what credit is it to you? For even sinners love those loving them.
33 And indeed, if you do good to those doing good to you, what credit is it to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive back, what credit is it to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, that they might receive the same amount.
35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and evil.
36 Be you merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
James 5:16
16 Therefore confess the sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man being made effective prevails much.
2 Corinthians 6:11-13
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
9 And He said to me, “My grace suffices you, for the power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore will I boast rather most gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, and difficulties for Christ; for when I might be weak, then I am strong.
James 1:1-27
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings.
2 Esteem it all joy, my brothers, when you might fall into various trials,
3 knowing that testing of your faith produces endurance.
4 And let endurance have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, the One giving generously to all and not finding fault, and it will be given to him.
6 But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing, for the one doubting is like a wave of the sea, being blown and being tossed by the wind.
7 For let that man not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord.
8 He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
9 But let the brother of low degree boast in his exaltation,
10 and he who is rich, in his humiliation, because he will pass away like a flower of grass.
11 For the sun has risen with its burning heat and withered the grass, and its flower has fallen, and the beauty of its appearance has perished. Thus also the rich man will fade away in the midst of his pursuits.
12 Blessed is the man who endures trial, because, having been approved, he will receive the crown of life that He has promised to those loving Him.
13 Let no one being tempted say, “I am being tempted by God.” For God is unable to be tempted by evils, and He Himself tempts no one.
14 But a man is tempted, being drawn away and being enticed by the own desire.
15 Then desire having conceived, gives birth to sin; and sin having become fully grown, brings forth death.
16 Do not be misled, my beloved brothers.
17 Every good act of giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of shifting.
18 Having willed it, He brought us forth by the word of truth, for us to be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
19 Know this, my beloved brothers. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow unto anger;
20 for man’s anger does not produce the righteousness of God.
21 Therefore, having put aside all filthiness and abounding of wickedness, receive in humility the implanted word, being able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves,
23 because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror,
24 for he has viewed himself and has gone away, and immediately he has forgotten of what manner he was.
25 But the one having looked intently into the perfect law, that of freedom, and having continued in it, not having been a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work—this one will be blessed in his work.
26 If anyone seems to be religious, not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, the religion of this one is worthless.
27 Pure and undefiled religion before the God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their tribulation; to keep oneself unstained from the world.
