¹ Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of evil men. ² But his pleasure is in the law of the Lord; and in His law will he meditate day and night. ³ And he shall be as a tree planted by the brooks of waters, which shall yield its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not fall off; and whatsoever he shall do shall prosper.

¹ And the days of David drew near that he should die. And he addressed his son Solomon, saying, I go the way of all the earth; ² but be strong, and show yourself a man;

¹¹ When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child, I reasoned as a child; but when I became a man, I put away the things of the child.

¹³ Watch, stand fast in the faith, be courageous, be strong.
