²⁵ Lust not after her beauty in thy heart, neither let her take thee with her eyelids;

¹ But now thus saith Jehovah, that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou art mine.

²⁸ But *I* say unto you, that every one who looks upon a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

⁵ overthrowing reasonings and every high thing that lifts itself up against the knowledge of God, and leading captive every thought into the obedience of the Christ;

² have your mind on the things [that are] above, not on the things [that are] on the earth; ³ for ye have died, and your life is hid with the Christ in God. ⁴ When the Christ is manifested who [is] our life, then shall *ye* also be manifested with him in glory. ⁵ Put to death therefore your members which [are] upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, vile passions, evil lust, and unbridled desire, which is idolatry.

⁵ Open rebuke is better than hidden love. ⁶ Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

³¹ but they that wait upon Jehovah shall renew [their] strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not tire; they shall walk, and not faint.

⁸ For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things [are] true, whatsoever things [are] noble, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] amiable, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue and if any praise, think on these things. ⁹ What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and the God of peace shall be with you.

²⁵ But which of you by being careful can add to his stature one cubit? ²⁶ If therefore ye cannot [do] even what is least, why are ye careful about the rest?

³⁰ I cannot do anything of myself; as I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous, because I do not seek my will, but the will of him that has sent me.

³⁰ Gracefulness is deceitful and beauty is vain; a woman [that] feareth Jehovah, she shall be praised.

⁴ I charge you, daughters of Jerusalem, ... Why should ye stir up, why awake [my] love, till he please?

⁹ But if they have not control over themselves, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.

⁴ Love has long patience, is kind; love is not emulous [of others]; love is not insolent and rash, is not puffed up, ⁵ does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil, ⁶ does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth, ⁷ bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

²² But youthful lusts flee, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those that call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.
