⁷ Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the Name of ye Lord our God.

⁵ Commit thy way vnto the Lord, and trust in him, and he shall bring it to passe.

¹ And in those dayes, as the nomber of ye disciples grewe, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians towards ye Hebrewes, because their widowes were neglected in the dayly ministring. ² Then the twelue called the multitude of the disciples together, and sayd, It is not meete that we should leaue the worde of God to serue the tables. ³ Wherefore brethren, looke ye out among you seuen men of honest report, and full of the holy Ghost, and of wisedome, which we may appoint to this busines. ⁴ And we will giue our selues continually to prayer, and to the ministration of the worde. ⁵ And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Steuen a man full of fayth and of the holy Ghost, and Philippe, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a Proselyte of Antiochia, ⁶ Which they set before the Apostles: and they prayed, and layed their hands on them. ⁷ And the worde of God increased, and the nomber of the disciples was multipled in Hierusalem greatly, and a great company of the Priests were obedient to the faith. ⁸ Now Steuen full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. ⁹ Then there arose certaine of the Synagogue, which are called Libertines, and Cyrenians, and of Alexandria, and of them of Cilicia, and of Asia, and disputed with Steuen. ¹⁰ But they were not able to resist the wisdome, and the Spirit by the which he spake. ¹¹ Then they suborned men, which saide, We haue heard him speake blasphemous wordes against Moses, and God. ¹² Thus they mooued the people and the Elders, and the Scribes: and running vpon him, caught him, and brought him to the Councill, ¹³ And set forth false witnesses, which sayd, This man ceasseth not to speake blasphemous wordes against this holy place, and the Law. ¹⁴ For we haue heard him say, that this Iesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the ordinances, which Moses gaue vs. ¹⁵ And as all that sate in the Councill, looked stedfastly on him, they saw his face as it had bene the face of an Angel.

¹⁰ The theefe commeth not, but for to steale, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might haue life, and haue it in abundance.

⁴² And they continued in the Apostles doctrine, and fellowship, and breaking of bread, and prayers.

² If any sinne and commit a trespasse against the Lord, and denie vnto his neighbour that, which was take him to keepe, or that which was put to him of trust, or doth by robberie, or by violence oppresse his neighbour, ³ Or hath found that which was lost, and denieth it, and sweareth falsely, for any of these things that a man doeth, wherein he sinneth: ⁴ When, I say, he thus sinneth and trespasseth, he shall then restore the robbery that he robbed, or the thing taken by violence which hee tooke by force, or the thing which was deliuered him to keepe, or the lost thing which he founde, ⁵ Or for whatsoeuer he hath sworne falsely, he shall both restore it in the whole summe, and shall adde the fift parte more thereto, and giue it vnto him to whome perteyneth, the same day that he offreth for trespasse. ⁶ Also he shall bring for his trespasse vnto the Lord, a ramme without blemish out of the flocke in thy estimation worth two shekels for a trespasse offring vnto the Priest. ⁷ And the Priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord, and it shall be forgiuen him, whatsoeuer thing he hath done, and trespassed therein.

¹⁰ And they that know thy Name, will trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not failed them that seeke thee.

⁵ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and leane not vnto thine owne wisdome. ⁶ In all thy wayes acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy wayes.

¹⁶ For God so loued the worlde, that hee hath giuen his onely begotten Sonne, that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life.

¹⁹ And my God shall fulfill all your necessities through his riches with glorie in Iesus Christ.

¹⁸ But nowe hath God disposed the members euery one of them in the bodie at his owne pleasure.

² But is vnder tutours and gouernours, vntil the time appointed of the Father.

¹⁰ Let euery man as hee hath receiued the gift, minister the same one to another, as good disposers of the manifolde grace of God.

³ Commit thy workes vnto the Lord, and thy thoughts shalbe directed.

¹⁴ For the kingdome of heauen is as a man that going into a strange countrey, called his seruants, and deliuered to them his goods. ¹⁵ And vnto one he gaue fiue talents, and to an other two, and to another one, to euery man after his own ability, and straightway went from home. ¹⁶ Then he that had receiued the fiue talents, went and occupied with them, and gained other fiue talents. ¹⁷ Likewise also, he that receiued two, he also gained other two. ¹⁸ But he that receiued that one, went and digged it in the earth, and hid his masters money. ¹⁹ But after a long season, the master of those seruants came, and reckoned with them. ²⁰ Then came he that had receiued fiue talents, and brought other fiue talents, saying, Master, thou deliueredst vnto me fiue talents: behold, I haue gained with them other fiue talents. ²¹ Then his master saide vnto him, It is well done good seruant and faithfull, Thou hast bene faithfull in litle, I will make thee ruler ouer much: enter into thy masters ioy. ²² Also he that had receiued two talents, came, and said, Master, thou deliueredst vnto me two talents: behold, I haue gained two other talets more. ²³ His master saide vnto him, It is well done good seruant, and faithfull, Thou hast bene faithfull in litle, I will make thee ruler ouer much: enter into thy masters ioy. ²⁴ Then he which had receiued the one talent, came, and said, Master, I knewe that thou wast an hard man, which reapest where thou sowedst not, and gatherest where thou strawedst not: ²⁵ I was therefore afraide, and went, and hid thy talent in the earth: behold, thou hast thine owne. ²⁶ And his master answered, and said vnto him, Thou euill seruant, and slouthfull, thou knewest that I reape where I sowed not, and gather where I strawed not. ²⁷ Thou oughtest therefore to haue put my money to ye exchangers, and then at my comming should I haue receiued mine owne with vantage. ²⁸ Take therefore the talent from him, and giue it vnto him which hath tenne talents.
