¹ [To the Chief Musician upon neginah, a Psalm of David.] Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. ² From the end of the earth will I cry unto you, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. ³ For you have been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. ⁴ I will abide in your tabernacle forever: I will trust in the shelter of your wings. ³³ For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

⁸ Be also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near.

¹¹ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
