⁵⁵ O Jehovah, I have remembered Your name in the night and have kept Your law.

¹ To the chief musician. On Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. My voice is to God, and I cry; my voice is to God, and He listened to me. ² In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; my hand was open in the night and did not grow numb; my soul refused to be comforted. ³ I remember God and am troubled; I meditate and my spirit faints. Selah. ⁴ You seized the watches of my eyes; I am troubled, and I cannot speak. ⁵ I thought upon the days of old, the years of bygone ages. ⁶ I will remember my song in the night; I will speak with my own heart, and my spirit carefully searches. ⁷ Will the lord cast off forever; and will He not add to be pleased any more? ⁸ Is His mercy gone forever? Has His word failed for all generations? ⁹ Has God forgotten to be gracious; has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah. ¹⁰ And I said, This is my sickness, the years of the right hand of the Most High; ¹¹ I will remember the works of Jehovah; surely I will remember Your wonders of old. ¹² I will also meditate on all Your works and muse of Your doings. ¹³ O God, your way is in holiness; who is a God great like God? ¹⁴ You are the God who does wonders; You have revealed Your strength among the peoples. ¹⁵ You have redeemed Your people with Your arm, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. ¹⁶ The waters saw You, O God, the waters saw You; they were afraid; yea, the deeps trembled. ¹⁷ The clouds poured out water; the skies uttered a voice; and Your arrows flew out. ¹⁸ The voice of Your thunder in the tempest; lightnings lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked! ¹⁹ Your way is in the sea; and Your path is in the great waters; and Your footsteps are not known. ²⁰ You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

¹ I have been sought, not by those who asked. I have been found, not by those who sought Me. To a nation not calling on My name, I said, Behold Me! Behold Me! ² I have spread out My hands all the day long to a rebellious people who walk in the way not good, after their own thoughts; ³ a people who continually provoke Me to My face; who sacrifice in gardens, and burn incense on the bricks; ⁴ who sit among the graves and lodge in the towers; who eat swine's flesh, and broth of unclean things in their pots; ⁵ who say, Keep to yourself! Do not come near me, for I am holier than you! These are a smoke in My nose, a fire burning all the day. ⁶ Behold! It is written before Me: I will not be silent, except I repay; yea, I will repay to their bosom, ⁷ our iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together, says Jehovah; they that burned incense on the mountains, and have blasphemed Me on the hills. And I will measure their former work on their bosom. ⁸ So says Jehovah: As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it; so I will do for the sake of My servants, not to destroy the whole. ⁹ And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah one to inherit My mountains. And My chosen one shall inherit, and My servants shall live there. ¹⁰ And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks; and the valley of Achor a resting place of herds for My people who have sought Me. ¹¹ But you are those who forsake Jehovah, who forget My holy mountain; who array a table for Fortune, and who fill mixed wine for Fate. ¹² And I will number you to the sword; and you shall all bow down to the slaughter; because I called and you did not answer. I spoke, and you did not hear; and you did the evil in My eyes; and you chose that in which I had no pleasure. ¹³ So the Lord Jehovah says this: Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry. Behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty. Behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed. ¹⁴ Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry from heartbreak, and howl from breaking of spirit. ¹⁵ And you shall leave your name for a curse to My chosen. And the Lord Jehovah shall kill you; and He shall call His servants by another name. ¹⁶ He who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth. And he who swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former distresses are forgotten; and because they are hidden from My eyes. ¹⁷ For, behold, I create new heavens and new earth. And the things before shall not be recalled, and they shall not go up on the heart. ¹⁸ However, be glad and rejoice forever in what I create. For, behold, I create in Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. ¹⁹ And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people. And the voice of weeping and the voice of crying shall no longer be heard in her. ²⁰ There shall not still be an infant of days, or an old man that has not filled his days. For the youth shall die the son of a hundred years, but the sinner the son of a hundred years shall be accursed. ²¹ And they shall build houses and live in them; and they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. ²² They shall not build, and another live in them; they shall not plant, and another eat. For like the days of the tree are the days of My people; and My elect shall grow old to the work of their hands. ²³ They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for terror. For they are the seed of the beloved ones of Jehovah, and their offspring with them. ²⁴ And it will be, before they call, I will answer. While they are speaking, then I will hear. ²⁵ The wolf and the lamb shall feed as one; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And dust is the food of the snake. They shall not do evil nor destroy in all My holy mountain, says Jehovah.

⁶³ saying, Sir, we have recalled that that deceiver while living said, After three days I will rise.

¹⁹ And taking a loaf, giving thanks, He broke, and gave to them, saying, This is My body being given for you. Do this for My remembrance.

²⁵ I have spoken these things to you, abiding with you;

¹ James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the Dispersion, greeting: ² My brothers count it all joy when you fall into various trials, ³ knowing that the proving of your faith works patience. ⁴ But let patience have its perfective work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. ⁵ But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who gives to all freely and with no reproach, and it will be given to Him. ⁶ But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, being driven by wind and being tossed; ⁷ for do not let that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; ⁸ he is a double-souled man, not dependable in all his ways. ⁹ But let the lowly brother rejoice in his lifting up; ¹⁰ and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he will pass away like the flower of the grass. ¹¹ For the sun rose with the hot wind and dried up the grass, and its flower fell out, and the beauty of its appearance perished; so also the rich one will fade away in his ways. Isa. 40:6, 7 ¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because having been approved he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to the ones loving Him. ¹³ Let no one being tempted say, I am tempted from God. For God is not tempted by evils, and He tempts no one. ¹⁴ But each one is tempted by his own lusts, having been drawn out and having been seduced by them . ¹⁵ Then being conceived, lust brings forth sin. And sin being fully formed brings forth death. ¹⁶ Do not go astray, my beloved brothers, ¹⁷ every act of good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning. ¹⁸ Having purposed, He brought us forth by the word of truth, for us to be a certain firstfruit of His creatures. ¹⁹ So that, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. ²⁰ For the wrath of man does not work out the righteousness of God. ²¹ On account of this, having put aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, in meekness receive the implanted Word being able to save your souls. ²² But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. ²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, this one is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴ for he studied himself, and has gone away, and immediately he forgot of what kind he was. ²⁵ But the one looking into the perfect law of liberty, and continuing in it, this one not having become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in his doing. ²⁶ If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, this one's religion is vain. ²⁷ Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

⁹ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and brave. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for Jehovah your God is with you in all places where you go.

⁹ Remember former things from forever, for I am God, and no one else is God, even none like Me,

²⁵ In the same way the cup also, after supping, saying, This cup is the New Covenant in My blood; as often as you drink, do this in remembrance of Me. See Luke 22:19, 20

¹⁵ So, then, brothers, stand firm and strongly hold the teachings you were taught, whether by word or by our letter.

¹⁵ Can a woman forget her suckling child, from pitying the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will surely not forget you. ¹⁶ Behold, I have carved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are always before Me.

¹ Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days do not come, or the years draw near when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them;

⁵ Then remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works. And if not, I am coming to you quickly, and will remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

²⁴ and giving thanks, He broke and said, Take, eat; this is My body which is broken on behalf of you; this do in remembrance of Me.

³⁵ I showed you all things, that working in this way we ought to help those being weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

² And you shall remember all the way which Jehovah your God has caused you to go these forty years in the wilderness, in order to humble you, to try you, to know that which is in your heart, whether you will keep His commandments or not.

² But I praise you, brothers, that in all things you have remembered me, and even as I delivered to you, you hold fast the doctrines.

¹² and you shall be on guard that you not forget Jehovah who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves.
