⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in this night roast with fire, and they shall eat unleavened [bread] with bitter herbs.

²⁹ And God said, Behold I have given to you every seed-bearing herb sowing seed which is upon all the earth, and every tree which has in itself the fruit of seed that is sown, to you it shall be for food. ³⁰ And to all the wild beasts of the earth, and to all the flying creatures of heaven, and to every reptile creeping on the earth, which has in itself the breath of life, even every green plant for food; and it was so. ³¹ And God saw all the things that he had made, and, behold, they were very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

²² And you⌃ shall take a bunch of hyssop, and having dipped it into some of the blood that is by the door, you⌃ shall touch the lintel, and [shall put it] upon both door-posts, even of the blood which is by the door; but you⌃ shall not go out every one from the door of his house till the morning.

¹¹ in the second month, on the fourteenth day; in the evening they shall offer it, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs shall they eat it.

⁷ Behold the man who made not God his help; but trusted in the abundance of his wealth, and strengthened himself in his vanity.

³⁰ And to all the wild beasts of the earth, and to all the flying creatures of heaven, and to every reptile creeping on the earth, which has in itself the breath of life, even every green plant for food; and it was so.

³ And every reptile which is living shall be to you for meat, I have given all things to you as the green herbs.

¹⁷ Better is an entertainment of herbs with friendliness and kindness, than a feast of calves, with enmity.
