Bible verses about "almonds" | MKJV

Genesis 30:37-43

37 And Jacob took rods of green poplar, and of a fresh tree, and the almond and plane tree. And he peeled white streaks in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods. 38 And he set the rods which he had peeled by the troughs, by the water troughs, where the flocks came to drink, across from the flocks, and the flocks were in heat when they came to drink. 39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth striped cattle, speckled, and spotted. 40 And Jacob separated the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the striped, and all the black in the flock of Laban. And he put his own flocks by themselves, and did not put them with the flock of Laban. 41 And it happened when the stronger flocks conceived, Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the flocks in the troughs, so that they might conceive among the rods. 42 But when the flocks were feeble, he did not put them in. And usually it came to be, the weak ones were Laban's and the stronger ones Jacob's. 43 And the man increased exceedingly, and had many flocks, and maidservants, and male servants, and camels, and asses.

Exodus 25:31-40

31 And you shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of beaten work; its shaft, and its branches, its cups, its knobs, and its blossoms, shall be from it. 32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it-- three branches of the lampstand out of the one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side. 33 Three almond-like cups on the one branch, with knob and blossom; and three almond-like cups on the one branch, with knob and blossom, so for the six branches, those going out of the lampstand. 34 And in the lampstand shall be four almond-like cups, with their knobs and their blossoms; 35 and a knob under two branches of it, and a knob under two branches of it, and a knob under two branches of it, according to the six branches, those going out of the lampstand. 36 Their knobs and their branches shall be of it, all of it one beaten work of pure gold. 37 And you shall make the seven lamps of it. And one shall light the lamps of it, so that they may give light on its face. 38 And the tongs of it, and its pans shall be of pure gold. 39 One shall make it of a talent of pure gold, with all these vessels. 40 And see that you make them after their pattern, which was shown you in the mountain.

Numbers 17:8

8 And it happened on the next day Moses went into the tabernacle of witness. And behold! The rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded and had brought forth buds, and had bloomed blossoms, and had yielded almonds.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-14

1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days do not come, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them. 2 So long as the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, are darkened, or the clouds return after rain, 3 in the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men are bowed, and the grinders cease because there are few, and those who look out of the windows are darkened, 4 and the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and you shall rise up at the voice of a bird, and all the daughters of music are silenced; 5 also they are afraid of the high place, and terrors along the way, and the almond tree shall blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail; because man goes to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets; 6 or ever the silver cord is not loosed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern; 7 then the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God who gave it. 8 Vanity of vanities, says the preacher; all is vanity. 9 And more than that, the preacher was wise; he still taught the people knowledge. Yes, he listened, and looked, and set in order many proverbs. 10 The preacher sought to find out pleasing words; and words of truth written by the upright. 11 The words of the wise are like goads; yes, their collected words are like nails driven home; they are given from one Shepherd. 12 And further, by these, my son, be warned: The making of many books has no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God, and keep His commandments. For this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good, or whether evil.

Exodus 25:33-34

33 Three almond-like cups on the one branch, with knob and blossom; and three almond-like cups on the one branch, with knob and blossom, so for the six branches, those going out of the lampstand. 34 And in the lampstand shall be four almond-like cups, with their knobs and their blossoms;
