Isaiah 1:1-31

1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for Jehovah has spoken, I have nursed and brought up sons, and they have rebelled against Me. 3 The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib; but Israel does not know; My people do not understand. 4 Woe, sinful nation, a people heavy with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, sons who corrupt! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger; they have gone away backward. 5 Why should you be stricken any more? You will revolt more and more; the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. 6 From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it; only a wound and a stripe and a fresh blow; they have not been closed, nor bound up, nor soothed with oil. 7 Your land is wasted, your cities burned with fire. Strangers devour your land right before your eyes, and it is wasted, as overthrown by strangers. 8 And the daughter of Zion is left a booth in a vineyard, like a hut in a garden of cucumbers, like a besieged city. 9 Except Jehovah of Hosts had left us a very small remnant, we would be as Sodom; we would be like Gomorrah. 10 Hear the Word of Jehovah, rulers of Sodom; give ear to the Law of our God, people of Gomorrah. 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me? says Jehovah; I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of he-goats. 12 When you come to appear before Me, who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts? 13 Bring no more vain sacrifice; incense is an abomination to Me; the new moon and sabbath, the going to meeting; I cannot endure evil and the assembly! 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; they are a trouble to Me; I am weary to bear them. 15 And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil; 17 learn to do good; seek judgment, reprove the oppressor. Judge the orphan, plead for the widow. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, says Jehovah; though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; 20 but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken. 21 How has the faithful city become a harlot? It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it, but now murderers. 22 Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water; 23 your rulers are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards; they do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come to them. 24 And the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, the mighty One of Israel, says, Alas! I will ease Myself of My foes, and avenge Myself of My enemies. 25 And I will turn back My hand on you, and purge away your dross as with lye, and take away all your alloy. 26 And I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterwards you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city. 27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her returning ones with righteousness. 28 And the downfall of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together; and those who forsake Jehovah shall be consumed. 29 For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, and you shall be ashamed for the gardens which you have chosen. 30 For you shall be like an oak whose leaf fades, and like a garden that has no water. 31 And the strong shall be like tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall put them out.

Exodus 20:5

5 You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them. For I Jehovah your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation of those that hate me,

Psalms 23:1-6

1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my Shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of Jehovah forever.

Psalms 91:1-16

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall rest under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of Jehovah, my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I will trust. 3 Surely He will deliver you from the fowler's trap and from the destroying plague. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall trust. His truth shall be your shield, and buckler. 5 You shall not fear the terror by night; nor because of the arrow that flies by day; 6 nor for the plague that walks in darkness, of the destruction laying waste at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes you shall look and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because You, O Jehovah, are My refuge; if You have made the Most High Your dwelling-place, 10 no evil shall befall You, nor shall any plague come near Your dwelling. 11 For He shall give His angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways. 12 They shall bear You up in their hands, lest You dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread on the lion and adder; the young lion and the jackal You shall trample underfoot. 14 Because He has set His love on Me, therefore I will deliver Him; I will set Him on high, because He has known My name. 15 He shall call on Me, and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in trouble; I will deliver Him, and honor Him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.

Ezekiel 18:20

20 The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.

2 Timothy 2:22-26

22 But flee youthful lusts, and follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 But avoid foolish and unlearned questions, knowing that they give birth to strifes. 24 But the servant of the Lord must not strive, but to be gentle to all, apt to teach, patient, 25 in meekness instructing those who oppose, if perhaps God will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, 26 and that they awake out of the snare of the Devil, having been taken captive by him, so as to do the will of that one.

Philippians 3:16

16 Yet, as to what we have already attained, let us walk in the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

11 and that you try earnestly to be quiet and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, 12 so that you may walk becomingly toward those outside, and that you may lack nothing.

Titus 3:1-3

1 Put them in mind to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, not being quarrelsome, but forbearing, showing all meekness to all men. 3 For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

Galatians 5:16-17

16 I say, then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary to one another; lest whatever you may will, these things you do.

Galatians 5:15

15 But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you are not consumed by one another.
