¹ Judge not, that you may not be judged. ² For with whatever judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and with whatever measure you measure out, it shall be measured to you again. ³ And why do you look on the splinter that is in your brother's eye, but do not consider the beam that is in your own eye? ⁴ Or how will you say to your brother, Let me pull the splinter out of your eye; and, behold, a beam is in your own eye? ⁵ Hypocrite! First cast the beam out of your own eye, and then you shall see clearly to cast the splinter out of your brother's eye. ⁶ Do not give that which is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and tear you. ⁷ Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. ⁸ For each one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened. ⁹ Or what man is there of you, if his son asks a loaf, will he give him a stone? ¹⁰ Or if he asks a fish, will he give him a snake? ¹¹ If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him? ¹² Therefore all things, whatever you desire that men should do to you, do even so to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets. ¹³ Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it. ¹⁴ Because narrow is the gate and constricted is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. ¹⁵ Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. ¹⁶ You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? ¹⁷ Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. ¹⁸ A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruits, nor can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. ¹⁹ Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. ²⁰ Therefore by their fruits you shall know them. ²¹ Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. ²² Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? ²³ And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness! ²⁴ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. ²⁵ And the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it did not fall, for it was founded on a rock. ²⁶ And everyone who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them shall be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. ²⁷ And the rain came down, and the floods came, and the wind blew and beat on that house. And it fell, and great was its fall. ²⁸ And it happened, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His doctrine. ²⁹ For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

¹ Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, ² Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread. ³ But He answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? ⁴ For God commanded, saying, "Honor your father and mother"; and, "He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him die by death." ⁵ But you say, Whoever says to his father or mother, Whatever you would gain from me, It is a gift to God; ⁶ and in no way he honors his father or his mother. And you voided the commandment of God by your tradition. ⁷ Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ⁸ "This people draws near to Me with their mouth, and honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. ⁹ But in vain they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." ¹⁰ And He called the crowd and said to them, Hear and understand. ¹¹ Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man. ¹² Then His disciples came and said to Him, Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying? ¹³ But He answered and said, Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up. ¹⁴ Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. ¹⁵ Then Peter answered and said to Him, Explain this parable to us. ¹⁶ And Jesus said, Are you also still without understanding? ¹⁷ Do you not yet understand that whatever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the waste-bowl? ¹⁸ But the things which come out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile the man. ¹⁹ For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies; ²⁰ these are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man. ²¹ And going out from there, Jesus withdrew to the parts of Tyre and Sidon. ²² And behold, a woman of Canaan coming out of these borders cried to Him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is grievously vexed with a demon. ²³ But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and begged Him, saying, Send her away, for she cries after us. ²⁴ But He answered and said, I am not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. ²⁵ Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, Lord, help me! ²⁶ But He answered and said, It is not good to take the children's bread and to throw it to dogs. ²⁷ And she said, True, O Lord; but even the little dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' tables. ²⁸ Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is your faith! So be it to you even as you wish. And her daughter was healed from that very hour. ²⁹ And moving from there Jesus came beside the Sea of Galilee. And He went up into a mountain and sat there. ³⁰ And great crowds came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others. And they cast them down at Jesus' feet. And He healed them, ³¹ so much so that the crowd wondered when they saw the dumb speak, the maimed sound, the lame walk, and the blind see. And they glorified the God of Israel. ³² Then Jesus called His disciples and said, I have compassion on the crowd because they continue with Me for three days now and have nothing to eat. And I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. ³³ And His disciples said to Him, From where should we get so many loaves in the wilderness, so as to fill so great a crowd? ³⁴ And Jesus said to them, How many loaves do you have? And they said, Seven, and a few little fish. ³⁵ And He commanded the crowd to sit on the ground. ³⁶ And He took the seven loaves and the fish, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave to His disciples. And the disciples gave to the crowd. ³⁷ And they all ate, and were filled; and they took up seven lunch baskets full of the pieces that was left. ³⁸ And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. ³⁹ And sending the crowd away, He went into the boat and came into the borders of Magdala.

²³ All things are lawful to me, but not all things profit. All things are lawful to me, but not all things build up.

³⁷ Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.

²³ But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him. ²⁴ God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

¹⁶ Then do not let your good be spoken evil of,

¹ First of all, then, I exhort that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, ² for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. ³ For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, ⁴ who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. ⁵ For God is one, and there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus, ⁶ who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. ⁷ To this I am ordained a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie), a teacher of the nations, in faith and truth. ⁸ Therefore, I desire that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. ⁹ In the same way also, I desire that women adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and sensibleness, not adorned with braiding, or gold, or pearls, or costly clothing, ¹⁰ but with good works, which becomes women professing godliness. ¹¹ Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. ¹² But I do not allow a woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence. ¹³ For Adam was first formed, then Eve. ¹⁴ And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. ¹⁵ But she will be kept safe through childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with sensibleness.

¹ The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; ² to know wisdom and instruction; to recognize the words of understanding; ³ to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and uprightness; ⁴ to give sense to the simple, knowledge and judgment to the young man; ⁵ the wise hears and increases learning; and understanding ones get wisdom; ⁶ to understand a proverb and its meaning; the words of the wise, and their acute sayings. ⁷ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction. ⁸ My son, hear the instruction of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother; ⁹ for they shall be an ornament of grace to your head and chains around your neck. ¹⁰ My son, if sinners lure you, do not be willing. ¹¹ If they say, Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood, we will watch secretly for the innocent without cause; ¹² let us swallow them up alive as the grave, and whole, as those who go down into the pit; ¹³ we shall find all precious goods; we shall fill our houses with plunder; ¹⁴ cast in your lot among us, and let us have one purse. ¹⁵ My son, do not walk in the way with them! Keep back your foot from their path, ¹⁶ for their feet run to evil and make haste to shed blood. ¹⁷ Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird, ¹⁸ And they lie in wait for their own blood; they watch secretly for their own lives. ¹⁹ So are the ways of everyone who gains unjust gain; it takes away its owners' life. ²⁰ Wisdom cries outside; she utters her voice in the streets; ²¹ she cries in the chief place of gathering, in the openings of the gates; in the city she utters her words, saying, ²² How long will you love simplicity, simple ones? And will scorners delight in their scorning? And will fools hate knowledge? ²³ Turn at my warning; behold, I will pour out my Spirit to you; I will make my words known to you. ²⁴ Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention; ²⁵ but you have despised all my advice, and would have none of my warning. ²⁶ I also will laugh at your trouble; I will mock when your fear comes; ²⁷ when your fear comes as a wasting away, and your ruin comes like a tempest when trouble and pain come upon you. ²⁸ Then they shall call upon me, and I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me; ²⁹ instead they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of Jehovah. ³⁰ They would have none of my counsel; they despised all my correction, ³¹ and they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own desires. ³² For the turning away of the simple kills them, and the ease of fools destroys them. ³³ But whoever listens to me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

³² You shall rise up before the gray head and honor the face of the old man, and fear your God. I am Jehovah.

¹² Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender feelings of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering,

⁵ Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

⁴⁰ Let all things be done decently and in order.

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward those on the outside, redeeming the time. ⁶ Let your speech be always with grace, having been seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
