⁴² And as he was still coming, the demon violently convulsed and tore him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child and delivered him again to his father.

³³ And in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon and cried out with a loud voice, ³⁴ saying, Let us alone! What is to us and to You, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God. ³⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet and come out of him! And when the demon had thrown him into the midst, he came out of him, not harming him. ³⁶ And they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, What a word is this! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.

¹⁷ And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your name.

⁴⁹ And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in Your name. And we prevented him, because he does not follow us. ⁵⁰ And Jesus said to him, Do not prevent him, for he who is not against us is for us.

²⁰ But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, no doubt the kingdom of God has come on you.

¹⁷ And one of the crowd answered and said, Teacher, I have brought my son who has a dumb spirit to You. ¹⁸ And wherever he seizes him, he dashes him. And he foams and gnashes his teeth and pines away. And I spoke to Your disciples that they should cast him out, and they could not. ¹⁹ He answered him and said, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me! ²⁰ And they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, the spirit immediately convulsed him. And he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming. ²¹ And He asked his father, How long ago has it been since this came to him? And he said, From childhood. ²² And oftentimes it has cast him into the fire and into the waters to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us. ²³ Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. ²⁴ And immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief. ²⁵ And seeing that a crowd is running together, Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter no more into him! ²⁶ And the spirit cried out, throwing him into convulsions, and came out of him. And he was like one dead, so that many said, He is dead. ²⁷ But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. ²⁸ And He entering into a house, His disciples asked Him privately, Why could we not cast him out? ²⁹ And He said to them, This kind can come out by nothing except by prayer and fasting.

⁸ For He said to him, Come out of the man, unclean spirit!

¹⁸ And she did this many days. But being distressed, and turning to the demonic spirit, Paul said, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her! And it came out in that hour.

¹³ Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

¹³ And certain from the strolling Jews, exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. ¹⁴ And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. ¹⁵ But answering the evil spirit said, Jesus I know, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you? ¹⁶ And the man in whom the evil spirit resided leaped on them, and overcoming them he was strong against them, so that they fled out of the house naked and wounded.

¹² so that even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin being brought onto the sick, the diseases were released, and the evil spirits went out of them.

⁷ Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

¹⁸ For Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, indeed being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit; ¹⁹ in which also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, ²⁰ to disobeying ones, when once the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared (in which a few, that is, eight souls were saved through water); ²¹ which figure now also saves us, baptism; not a putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ; ²² who is at the right hand of God, having gone into Heaven, where the angels and authorities and powers are being subjected to Him.

¹³ And immediately Jesus allowed them. And the unclean spirits went out and entered into the pigs. And the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea (they were about two thousand), and were choked in the sea.

³⁸ And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out demons in Your name, and he does not follow us. And we forbade him, because he does not follow us.

¹⁵ But answering the evil spirit said, Jesus I know, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you?

¹¹ And God did works of power through the hands of Paul, ¹² so that even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin being brought onto the sick, the diseases were released, and the evil spirits went out of them.

¹⁹ Behold, I give to you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the authority of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.

¹⁰ Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. ¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ¹³ Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. ¹⁴ Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness ¹⁵ and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. ¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, ¹⁸ praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

⁸ Be sensible and vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour;

¹⁶ He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. ¹⁷ And miraculous signs will follow to those believing these things: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak new tongues; ¹⁸ they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well.
