¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ² And the earth was without form and empty. And darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters. ³ And God said, Let there be light. And there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light that it was good. And God divided between the light and the darkness. ⁵ And God called the light, Day. And He called the darkness, Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. ⁶ And God said, Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. ⁷ And God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. ⁸ And God called the expanse, Heavens. And the evening and the morning were the second day. ⁹ And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so. ¹⁰ And God called the dry land, Earth. And He called the gathering together of the waters, Seas. And God saw that it was good. ¹¹ And God said, Let the earth bring forth tender sprouts (the herb seeding seed and the fruit tree producing fruit after its kind, whose seed is in itself) upon the earth; and it was so. ¹² And the earth brought forth tender sprouts, the herb yielding seed after its kind, and the tree producing fruit after its kind, whose seed was in itself. And God saw that it was good. ¹³ And the evening and the morning were the third day. ¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years. ¹⁵ And let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth. And it was so. ¹⁶ And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the smaller light to rule the night, and the stars also. ¹⁷ And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth, ¹⁸ and to rule over the day and over the night; and to divide between the light and the darkness. And God saw that it was good. ¹⁹ And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. ²⁰ And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarmers having a living soul; and let birds fly over the earth on the face of the expanse of the heavens. ²¹ And God created great sea-animals, and every living soul that creeps with which the waters swarmed after their kind; and every winged fowl after its kind. And God saw that it was good. ²² And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters of the seas and let the fowl multiply in the earth. ²³ And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. ²⁴ And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creepers, and its beasts of the earth after its kind; and it was so. ²⁵ And God made the beasts of the earth after its kind, and cattle after their kind, and all creepers upon the earth after their kind. And God saw that it was good. ²⁶ And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth. ²⁷ And God created man in His image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female. ²⁸ And God blessed them. And God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply and fill the earth, and subdue it. And have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the heavens, and all animals that move upon the earth. ²⁹ And God said, Behold! I have given you every herb seeding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree seeding seed; to you it shall be for food. ³⁰ And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the heavens, and to every creeper on the earth which has in it a living soul every green plant is for food; and it was so. ³¹ And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

⁵ Only, diligently take heed to do the commands and the Law which Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, to love Jehovah your God, and to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments, and to cleave to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

²⁴ God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

²⁷ Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for that food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you. For God the Father sealed Him.

¹ Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. ² In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, so that where I am, you may be also. ⁴ And where I go you know, and the way you know. ⁵ Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You go, and how can we know the way? ⁶ Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me. ⁷ If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. He who has seen Me has seen the Father. And how do you say, Show us the Father? ¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The Words that I speak to you I do not speak of Myself, but the Father who dwells in Me, He does the works. ¹¹ Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the very works themselves. ¹² Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father. ¹³ And whatever you may ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴ If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. ¹⁵ If you love Me, keep My commandments. ¹⁶ And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever, ¹⁷ the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you. ¹⁸ I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you. ¹⁹ Yet a little while and the world does not see Me any more. But you see Me. Because I live, you shall live also. ²⁰ At that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. ²¹ He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. ²² Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself to us and not to the world? ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. ²⁴ He who does not love Me does not keep My Words, and the Word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me. ²⁵ I have spoken these things to you, being present with you. ²⁶ But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you. ²⁷ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ²⁸ You have heard how I said to you, I go away and I am coming to you again. If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, I go to the Father, for My Father is greater than I. ²⁹ And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens you might believe. ³⁰ I shall no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of this world comes, and he has nothing in Me. ³¹ But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father has given Me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go away from here.

¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹ If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. ² Be mindful of things above, not on things on the earth. ³ For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.

⁶ Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness! For they shall be filled.

¹ I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. ² Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bring forth more fruit. ³ Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you. ⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. ⁵ I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered. And they gather and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷ If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you. ⁸ In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you shall be My disciples. ⁹ As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you; continue in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. ¹¹ I have spoken these things to you so that My joy might remain in you and your joy might be full. ¹² This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. ¹³ No one has greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴ You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. ¹⁵ No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. ¹⁶ You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you. ¹⁷ These things I command you, that you love one another.

¹¹ Likewise count yourselves also to be truly dead to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁷ the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.

⁴ so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

⁶ For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
