⁷ Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will make mention of the name of Jehovah our God.

⁵ Commit your way to Jehovah. Trust also in him and he will do it.

¹ Now in the days when the disciples were multiplying, there became a murmuring from the Grecian Jews aimed toward the Hebrews, because their widows were being left unattended in the daily service. ² Now the twelve called the multitude of the disciples to them and said, It is not pleasing to God for us to have left the word of God to serve tables. ³ Therefore brethren, elect out of you seven men well testified of, full of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom, whom we might designate over this need. ⁴ But we will be persevering in prayer and in the service of the word. ⁵ And the speech pleased the whole multitude and they themselves chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit and Philip and Prochorus and Nicanor and Timon and Parmenas and Nicolaus a Jewish-convert from Antioch; ⁶ whom they stood in the sight of the apostles and having prayed, they laid their hands upon them.
⁷ And the word of God was growing, and the number of the disciples were extremely multiplying in Jerusalem, and a large crowd of the priests were obedient to the faith.
⁸ And Stephen, full of faith and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. ⁹ But there stood up some of those who were of the synagogue called the Synagogue of the Freedmen both those from Cyrene and from Alexandria, and those from Cilicia and Asia, debating together with Stephen. ¹⁰ And they were not strong-enough to stand against the wisdom and the Spirit by which he was speaking. ¹¹ Then they instigated men, saying, We have heard him speak blasphemous declarations at Moses and God. ¹² And they agitated the people and the elders and the scribes and standing against him, seized him and led him into the council.
¹³ And false witnesses stood up, who said, This man is not ceasing to speak blasphemous declarations against this holy place and the law; ¹⁴ for we have heard him saying, that this Jesus the Nazarene will be tearing-down this place and will be changing the customs which Moses gave to us. ¹⁵ And all who sat in the council, having stared toward him, saw his face was like the face of a messenger.

⁴² Now they were persevering in the apostles’teaching and in fellowship and in the breaking of the bread and in prayers.

¹ Do not let your heart be disturbed; you believe in God, believe also in me.

² Therefore, it is essential for the overseer to be: unimpeachable, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, orderly, hospitable, skilled in teaching;

¹³ Now the God of hope may fill you with all joy and peace in the believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁴ And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us;

¹ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his bondservants; the things which are essential to happen shortly and he signified it, having sent it through his messenger to his bondservant John; ² who testifies of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ; as many things as he saw. ³ The fortunate one reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy and are keeping the things which have been written in it; for the time is near. ⁴ John to the seven congregations which are in Asia: grace to you and peace from God who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits that are in the sight of his throne; ⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and washed us away from our sins in his blood; ⁶ and he made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father; the glory and the dominion is to him, forevermore. Amen.
⁷ Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will be seeing him and those who stabbed him, and all the tribes of the earth will be grieving over him. Yes he comes, Amen.
⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
⁹ I John, your brother and partner in the affliction and the kingdom and the endurance which are in Christ Jesus, happened to be on the island called Patmos, because of the word of God and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ. ¹⁰ I became in the spirit on the Lord’s day and I heard behind me a loud voice, like that of a trumpet ¹¹ saying, What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven congregations : to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamus and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea. ¹² And I turned there to see the voice which was speaking with me and having turned, I saw seven golden lamp-stands. ¹³ And one similar to a son of man was in the middle of the seven lamp-stands. He has clothed himself with a long-robe and the breasts are girded around with a golden belt. ¹⁴ Now his head and his hair were white like white wool, like snow, and his eyes were like a flame of fire; ¹⁵ and his feet similar to polished brass, like what has been refined in a furnace, and his voice like the voice of many waters. ¹⁶ And he has in his right hand seven stars and a sharp two edged long-sword traveled out from his mouth and his appearance was as the sun appears in its power. ¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell like one dead at his feet. And he placed his right hand upon me, saying, Do not fear; I am the first and the last, ¹⁸ and the Living One, and I became dead and behold, I am living forevermore and I have the keys of death and of Hades. Amen. ¹⁹ Therefore write the things which you saw, and the things which are, and the things which are about to happen after these things. ²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand and the seven golden lamp-stands is this : the seven stars are the messengers of the seven congregations and the seven lamp-stands are seven congregations.
²¹ For no prophecy was ever brought about by the will of man, but the holy men of God spoke the word being carried by the Holy Spirit.

² If a soul sins and commits a trespass against Jehovah and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor, ³ or has found what was lost and deals falsely by it and swears to a lie, in any of all these things that a man does, sinning by it, ⁴ then it will be, if he has sinned and is guilty, that he will restore what he took by robbery, or the thing which he has gotten by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to him, or the lost thing which he found, ⁵ or anything about which he has sworn falsely, he will even restore it in full and will add the fifth part more to it. He will give it to him to whom it pertains, in the day of his being found guilty. ⁶ And he will bring his trespass offering to Jehovah, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest. ⁷ And the priest will make atonement for him before Jehovah and he will be forgiven concerning whatever he does so as to be guilty by it.

¹⁰ And those who know your name will put their trust in you, because you, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek you.

⁵ Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. ⁶ Acknowledge him in all your ways and he will direct your paths.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone who believes in him might not perish, but may have everlasting life.

¹⁹ Now my God will be filling every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

¹⁸ But now God has placed the members in the body, each one of them, just-as he willed.

² but is under guardians and stewards till the appointed-day of the father.

¹⁰ just-as each has received a gift, serving it for yourselves, as good stewards of the various favor s of God.

³ Commit your works to Jehovah and your purposes will be established.

¹⁴ For it is just-like a man, going-abroad, who called his own bondservants and gave to them his possessions. ¹⁵ And to one he gave five silver talants, but to another two, and to another one; to each according to his own ability, and immediately went-abroad. ¹⁶ Now he who received the five talants traveled, and took them and worked with them, and made another five talants. ¹⁷ Likewise, he who also received the two also gained another two. ¹⁸ But he who received the one, having gone away, shoveled in the soil and hid his lord’s silver. ¹⁹ Now after a long time, the lord of those bondservants comes back, and settles the account with them. ²⁰ And he who received the five talants came and brought the other five talants, saying, Lord, You gave to me five talants. Behold, I have gained in addition to them, another five talants.
²¹ But his lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful bondservant. You were over a few things, I will be designating you over many things; enter into the joy of your lord.
²² Now he who also received the two talants came and said, Lord, You gave to me two talants. Behold, I have gained in addition to them, another two talants.
²³ His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful bondservant. You were faithful over a few things, I will be designating you over many things; enter into the joy of your lord.
²⁴ Now he who also had received the one talant came and said, Lord, I knew you, that you are a harsh man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering from where you did not scatter; ²⁵ and I was afraid and went away and hid your talant in the soil. Behold, you have your own.
²⁶ But his lord answered and said to him, You evil and lazy bondservant, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather from where I did not scatter? ²⁷ Therefore, you ought to have put my silver with the bankers, and when I came, I might get back my own together with interest. ²⁸ Therefore, take away the talant from him and give it to the one who has the ten talants.
