² For thou art an holy people vnto the Lord thy God, and the lord hathe chosen the to be a seuerall people vnto hym selfe, of all the nations that are vpon the earth.

⁶ For thou art an holy nacion vnto the Lorde thy God, the Lorde thy God hath chosen the to be a seuerall people vnto hym selfe of al nations that are vpon the erth.

⁴ The worde of the Lord spake thus vnto me: ⁵ Before I fashyoned the in thy mothers wombe, I did know the. And or euer thou wast borne, I sanctifyed the, and ordeyned the, to be a Prophete vnto the people.

¹⁴ For manye are called and fewe be chosen.

⁷⁰ Iesus aunswered them: Haue not I chosen you twelue, and yet one of you is the deuyll?

²⁰ And except that the Lord shoulde shorten those dayes, no man shoulde be saued. But for the electes sake which he hath chosen, he hath shortened those dayes. ²¹ And then, yf any man say to you: lo, here is Christ, lo, he is there: beleue not, ²² for false Christes shal ryse, and false prophetes, and shall shewe myracles and wondres, to deceyue yf it were possible, euen the elect. ²³ But take ye hede: beholde I haue shewed you all thynges before. ²⁴ Moreouer in those dayes, after that trybulacyon, the sonne shall waxe darke, and the moone shal not geue her light, ²⁵ and the starres of heauen shall fal: and the powers which are in heauen shall moue. ²⁶ And then shall they se the sonne of man comyng in the cloudes with great power and glorye.

⁴⁸ The gentyls hearde and were glad & glorifyed the worde of the Lorde, and beleued euen as many as were ordeyned vnto eternal lyfe.

²⁸ For we knowe that all thynges worke for the beste vnto them that loue God, whyche also are called of purpose.

¹⁵ But when it pleased God (whiche separated me from my mothers wombe, and called me by hys grace,

¹² Nowe therfore as electe of God, holy and beloued, put on tender mercye, kyndnes, humblenes of mindes, meaknes, longe sufferynge,

⁸ and al that dwel vpon the earth worshipte him, whose names are not written in the boke of lyfe of the lambe, which was killed from the beginning of the worlde.

²⁰ Behold I stande at the dore and knocke. Yf anye man heare my voice and open the dore. I wil come in vnto him, and will suppe with him, and he wyth me.

⁴ accordynge as he had chosen vs in hym, before the foundacyon of the worlde was layde that we shoulde be Saynctes and wythoute blame before hym thorow loue.

And which he called, them also he iustified, whiche he iustified, them he also glorifyed.

⁹ But ye are a chosen generacyon, a royall priesthode, an holye nacyon and a peculyar people that ye shoulde shewe the vertues of hym that called you oute of darkenes into his marueylous lyght,

¹⁶ Ye haue not chosen me, but I haue chosen you and ordeyned you, that ye go & bringe forth frute, and that your frute remayne, and that whatsoeuer ye shall axe of the father in my name, he shoulde geue it to you.
