²⁸ After this, wil I poure out my sprete vpon all fleshe: and your sonnes & your doughters shall prophecye: youre olde men shall dreame dreames, & youre yong men shal se visyons

³⁶ But of that daye and houre knoweth no man, no not the aungels of heauen, but my father onelye.

¹⁶ For God so loueth the worlde, that he hath geuen his only sonne, that none that beleue in him, should perishe: but should haue euerlastinge lyfe.

²⁷ And as it is appoynted vnto men that they shall ones dye, and then commeth the iudgemente,

¹⁴ But continue thou in the thynges whiche thou hast learned, which also were committed vnto the seyng thou knowest of whome thou hast learned them, ¹⁵ and for as muche also as thou haste knowen holy scrypture of a chyld, whiche is able to make the wyse vnto saluacion thorowe the fayth which is in Christ Iesu. ¹⁶ For al scripture geuen by inspyracion of God, is profytable to teache, to improue, to amende and to instruct in ryghtuousnes, ¹⁷ that the man of God maye be perfecte and prepared vnto all good workes.

²⁷ to whom God woulde make knowen the glorious riches of this misterye amonge the Gentyls, whiche ryches is Christ, in you the hope of glorye,

⁹ Remembre the thynges which are past, sence the begynnyng of the worlde: that I am God, & that there is els no God, yee & that there is nothynge lyke vnto me. ¹⁰ In the beginning of a thynge, I shewe the ende therof: & I tell before, thynges that are not yet come to passe. With one worde is my deuyce accomplyshed, & fulfylleth all my pleasure.

¹ I exhorte therfore, that aboue al thynges, prayers, supplicacyons intercessyons, and geuynge of thankes be had for all men: ² for kynges, and for all that are in authorytye, that we maye lyue a quyete and a peasable lyfe, in all godlynes and honestye. ³ For that is good and accepted in the syghte of God oure sauyoure, ⁴ whiche wyll haue all men saued, and to come vnto the knoweledge of the trueth. ⁵ For there is one God, and one Meadiatoure betwene God and man, which is the man Christ Iesus ⁶ which gaue hym self a raunsome for al men, that it shoulde be testifyed at hys tyme, ⁷ where vnto I am ordeyned a preacher and an Apostle: I tell the trueth in Christe and lye not, beynge the teacher of the gentyles in fayth and verytye. ⁸ I wyll therfore that the men praye euerye where lyfting vp pure handes wythout wrath or doubtyng. ⁹ Lykewyse also the women that they araye them selues in comlye apparell wyth shamefastnes and discrete behauyoure not wyth broyded heare other golde, or pearles, or costlye araye: ¹⁰ but wyth suche as becommeth women that professe the worshyppyng of God thorowe good workes. ¹¹ Let the woman learne in silence with all subieccyon. ¹² I suffer not a woman to teache, neyther to haue authoritie ouer a man: but for to be in silence. ¹³ For Adam was fyrste formed, and then Eue. ¹⁴ Also Adam was not deceyued, but the woman was deceyued, and was in a transgressyon. ¹⁵ Notwythstandyng thorow bearyng of chyldren they shalbe saued, so they continue in faythe, loue & holynes with discrecion.

¹ Iames the seruaunte of God and of the Lorde Iesus Christ sendeth gretyng to the twelue trybes whiche are scattered here and there. ² My brethren, count it excedyng ioye when ye fal into dyuers temptacyons, ³ for as muche as ye knowe howe that the triynge of youre fayth bryngeth pacience: ⁴ and let pacyence haue her perfect worke, that ye maye be perfecte and sounde, lackynge nothynge. ⁵ Yf anye of you lacke wysedome, let hym axe of God whiche geueth to all men indyfferentlye, and casteth no man in the teath: and it shal be geuen hym. ⁶ But let hym axe it in faith and wauer not. For he that doubteth is lyke the waues of the sea, toste of the wyndes & caried wyth vyolence. ⁷ Neyther let that man thynke that he shal receyue any thynge of the Lorde. ⁸ A waueryng mynded man is vnstable in all hys wayes. ⁹ Let the brother of low degre reioyce in that he is exalted, ¹⁰ and the ryche in that he is made lowe. For euen as the flower of the grasse, shal he vanysh away. ¹¹ The sonne riseth with heat, and the grasse widereth, and hys flower falleth awaye, & the beautye of the fashyon of it perysheth: euen so shal the ryche man peryshe wyth hys aboundaunce. ¹² Happy is the man that endureth in temptacyon, for when he is tryed, he shal receyue the croune of lyfe, which the Lorde hath promised to them that loue hym. ¹³ Let no man saye when he is tempted, that he is tempted of God. For god tempteth not vnto euyl, neyther tempteth he any man: ¹⁴ But euerye man is tempted, drawne awaye, & entysed of hys owne concupiscence. ¹⁵ Then when luste hath conceyued, she bringeth forth sinne, & sinne when it is fynyshed bryngeth forthe death. ¹⁶ Erre not my deare brethren. ¹⁷ Euery good gyfte, and euerye perfecte gyfte, is from aboue and commeth doune from the father of lyght wyth whome is no varyablenes, neyther is he chaunged vnto darkenes. ¹⁸ Of hys owne wyll begat he vs wyth the worde of lyfe, that we shoulde be the fyrste frutes of hys creatures. ¹⁹ Wherfore deare brethren, let euerye man be swyfte to heare, slowe to speake, and slow to wrath. ²⁰ For the wrath of man worketh not that whiche is ryghtuous before God. ²¹ Wherfore laye a parte all fylthynes, all superfluytye of malycyousnes, and receyue wyth mekenes the worde that is grafted in you, whiche is able to saue your soules. ²² And se that ye be doars of the worde & not hearers onely, deceyuyng your owne selues wyth sophystrye. ²³ For yf any heare the word, and do it not, he is lyke vnto a man that beholdeth his bodly face in a glasse. ²⁴ For assone as he hath loked on hym selfe, he goeth hys waye, and forgetteth immediatly what hys fashyon was. ²⁵ But who so loketh in the perfecte lawe of lybertye, and contynueth therin (yf he be not a forgetfull hearer, but a doar of the worke) the same shall be happye in hys dede. ²⁶ Yf anye man amonge you seme deuoute, & refrayne not his tonge, but deceyue his owne hert: thys mannes deuocyon is in vayne. ²⁷ Pure deuocyon and vndefyled before God the father is thys: to visite the fatherlesse and wyddowes in theyr aduersitye, and to kepe hym selfe vnspotted of the worlde.

³ Accordinge as hys godlye power hath geuen vnto vs al thinges that pertayne vnto lyfe and godlines, thorowe the knowledge of him that hath called vs by vertue & glory, ⁴ by the meanes, wherof are geuen vnto vs excellent and most great promises, that by the helpe of them ye should be partakers of the godly nature, in that ye flee the corruption of worldelye luste.

²⁹ The secrettes of the Lord oure God are opened vnto vs and our children for euer, that we do all the wordes of this lawe.

¹ O blessed is the man, that goeth not in the counsayll of the vngodly: that abydeth not in the waie of sinners and sitteth not in the seate of the scorneful. ² But deliteth in the lawe of the Lord, and exercyseth hym self in hys lawe, bothe daye and nyght. ³ Suche a man is lyke a tree planted by the watersyde, that bringeth forthe hys frute in due season. His leaues shall not fall af, & loke whatsoeuer he doth, it shall prospere. ⁴ As for the vngodly, it is not so with them but they are lyke the dust, wych the wynde scatered awaye from the grounde. ⁵ Thefore the vngodly shall not be able to stande in the iudgement, nether the synners in the congregacyon of the ryghtuous. ⁶ For the Lorde aloweth the waye of the righteous, but the waye of the vngodly shal peryshe.

¹³ Howe be it when he is come (I meane the spirite of truth) he wyll lead you into all truth. He shall not speake of hym self, but whatsoeuer he shal heare, that shall he speake, and he wyll shewe you thynges to come.

⁷ Nowe doth the Lorde God no maner of thynge, but he telleth hys secrete before vnto hys seruauntes the Prophetes.

⁵ Put thy trust in the Lord wyth all thyne hert, and leane not vnto thyne own vnderstandinge. ⁶ In all thy wayes haue respecte vnto hym, & he shal ordre thy goinges.
