⁸ Jehovah says: »I will instruct you. I will teach you the way that you should go. I will advise you as my eyes watch over you. ⁹ »Do not be stubborn like a horse or mule. They need a bit and bridle in their mouth to restrain them, or they will not come near you.« ¹⁰ Very much pain awaits wicked people, but loving-kindness and mercy surrounds those who trust Jehovah.

¹⁴ Turn away from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it!

²² Throw your burden upon Jehovah and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken!

¹ Jehovah created Jacob and formed Israel. Jehovah says: »Do not be afraid for I have reclaimed you. I have called you by my name. You are mine. ² »When you go through the sea, I am with you. ⁷ God has not given us a spirit of timidity (fear), but of power and love and discipline.

⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God. He gives to all generously and without reproach and it will be given to him.

⁶ Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

⁶ Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you at the proper time. ⁷ Throw all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.
