1 Those who live through (in union with) (because of) Jesus Christ have no condemnation. [They do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.]
Bible verses about "loss" | NSB
Romans 8:1
Isaiah 40:1-31
1 »Comfort, comfort my people,« says your God.
2 »Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed. Her sin has been paid for and she has received double for all her sins from Jehovah’s hand.«
3 A voice of one calling: »In the wilderness prepare the way for Jehovah. Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 »Every valley will be raised up! Every mountain and hill made low. The rough ground will become level and the rugged places a plain.
5 »The glory of Jehovah will be revealed and together all mankind will see it. For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken!«
6 A voice shouts: »Cry out!« And I said: »What shall I cry?« The voice shouts: »All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field.
7 »The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of Jehovah blows on them. Surely the people are grass.
8 »The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.«
9 You bring good news to Zion. Go up on a high mountain. You bring good news to Jerusalem. Lift up your voice with a shout! Lift it up and do not be afraid! Say to the towns of Judah: »Here is your God!«
10 See the Sovereign Lord Jehovah comes with power. His arm (power) rules for him. See, his reward is with him and his recompense accompanies him.
11 He tends his flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart. He gently leads those that have young.
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the span of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance of the scale?
13 Who has understood the mind of Jehovah, or has instructed him, as his counselor?
14 Whom did Jehovah consult to enlighten him? Who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?
15 Truly the nations are like a drop in a bucket! They are regarded as dust on the scales! He weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.
16 Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings.
17 Before him all the nations are as nothing! He regards them as worthless and less than nothing.
18 To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to?
19 As for an idol, a craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it.
20 A man too poor to present such an offering selects wood that will not rot. He looks for a skilled craftsman to set up an idol that will not topple.
21 Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told to you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
23 He brings princes to nothing and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.
24 No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.
25 »To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?« says the Holy One.
26 »Lift your eyes and look to the heavens. Who created all these? The being that brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name created all these! Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.
27 »‘Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel: ‘My way is hidden from Jehovah! My God disregards my cause?’
28 »Do you not know? Have you not heard? JEHOVAH IS THE EVERLASTING GOD, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and no one can measure (find out) his understanding.
29 »He gives strength to those who grow tired and increases the strength of those who are weak.
30 Even young people grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall.
31 »Those who hope in Jehovah will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary! They will walk and not be faint.«
Jeremiah 17:10
10 »I, Jehovah, search the heart and examine the mind (inner man). I give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds.
Matthew 5:1-12
1 Seeing great masses of people, he went up to the mountain. When he was seated his disciples came to him.
2 He opened his mouth and taught them:
3 »Blessed (Greek: makarios: happy, blessed) are those conscious of their spiritual need, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
4 »Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5 »Blessed are the meek (gentle) (mild) (humble), for they will inherit the earth.
6 »Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7 »Blessed are the merciful and compassionate, for they will receive mercy and compassion.
8 »Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 »Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.
10 »Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
11 »Blessed are you when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.
12 »Rejoice, and be filled with joy, for great is your reward in heaven. The prophets, who came before you, were also persecuted.
John 1:1-51
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was like God (God-like).
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through him and without him not one thing was made.
4 He lived and his life gives light to all people.
5 His light shines through darkness and it cannot be extinguished.
6 God sent a man named John. (Malachi 3:1)
7 He came to tell (witness) (testify) about the light and help people have faith.
8 Not being the light he came to give a witness of it.
9 The true light, which gives light to every man, came into the world. (Isaiah 49:6)
10 The world was made through him. He was in the world and the world did not recognize him.
11 He came to his own. They did not receive him!
12 He gave the right to become children of God to all who received him. Even to those who believe in his name.
13 They were born from God. It was not from blood, or the will of the flesh, or the will of man.
14 The Word [Jesus] became flesh (a human being) and lived with us. We saw the glory of the only begotten son from the Father. He was full of loving-kindness and truth.
15 John spoke about him and declared: He is the one I said would come after me. He is greater than I am because he lived before me.«
16 Out of the fullness of his undeserved kindness he gives us one blessing after another.
17 The law came through Moses. Loving-kindness and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No man has ever seen God. The only begotten God-like one who is closest to the Father (in the bosom of the Father) tells us about him. (Psalm 8:5)
19 John gave his witness even as Jewish authorities sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem. They asked him: »Who are you?«
20 He said: »I am not the Christ.«
21 They asked him: »Are you Elijah?« He said: »I am not.« »Are you the prophet?« He answered: »No.«
22 They said to him: »Who are you? We need to know so we can tell the ones who sent us.«
23 He said: »I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Isaiah the prophet said: ‘Make straight the way of Jehovah (YHWH).’« (Isaiah 40:3)
24 They were sent from the Pharisees.
25 They said to him: »Why do you baptize if you are not the Christ, not Elijah, and not the prophet?«
26 John answered: »I baptize in water. There is one in your midst whom you do not know.
27 »I am not worthy to fasten his shoes.«
28 These things were done in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him. He boldly declared: »Behold! The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world!«
30 »This is he whom I said would come after me. He is greater than I am because he came before me.
31 »I did not know him. I came baptizing in water so that everyone in Israel will come to know him.«
32 John said: »I saw the spirit descending as a dove out of heaven upon him.
33 »I did not know he was the one. God sent me to baptize in water and said: ‘You will see one upon whom the spirit descends. The same is he who baptizes in Holy Spirit.’
34 »I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.«
35 The next day John was standing with two of his disciples.
36 He looked at Jesus as he walked, and said: »Behold, the Lamb of God!«
37 The two disciples heard him speak and they followed Jesus.
38 Jesus turned and saw them following. He asked them, »What are you after? They asked him: »Teacher, where are you staying?«
39 He said« »Come and see.« So they came to where he was staying. They stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
40 One of the two, who heard John speak and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
41 He found his brother Simon first. He said to him: »We have found the Messiah (Christ).«
42 He took him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him, and said: »You are Simon the son of John: you will be called Cephas (meaning: Peter).«
43 The next day he was reminded to go into Galilee. There he found Philip. Jesus said to him, »Follow me.«
44 Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Philip found Nathanael, and said to him: »We have found the person Moses and the prophets wrote about in the Law and God’s word. It is Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.«
46 And Nathanael said to him: »Could any good thing come out of Nazareth?« Philip said: »Come and see.«
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him. He said: »Look an Israelite indeed. There is no deceit in him!«
48 Nathanael asked: »How do you know me?« Jesus answered: »I saw you under the fig tree before Philip called you.«
49 Nathanael answered: »Rabbi you are the Son of God. You are King of Israel.«
50 Jesus responded: »I told you I saw you under the fig tree. Is this why you believe? You will see greater things than these.«
51 Jesus continued: »You will see the heavens opened and you will see the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.«
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
2 Peter 2:9
9 Jehovah knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to preserve the unrighteous for the Day of Judgment. (Psalm 34:19) (Matthew 25:46)
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.
4 He comforts us in all our trouble, that we may be able to comfort those who also have trouble, through the comfort with which we are comforted from God.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.
Philippians 4:19
19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 5:4
4 »Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
2 Corinthians 12:9
9 He told me: »My grace is sufficient for you for my strength is made perfect in weakness.« Most gladly therefore, I would rather glory in my infirmities (frailities), that the power of Christ may rest upon me (cover me like a tent) (descend upon me) (abide with me). (Isaiah 40:29-31)
Psalms 34:17-20
17 Righteous people cry out. Jehovah hears and rescues them from all their troubles.
18 Jehovah is near to those whose hearts and minds are humble and contrite. He saves the broken hearted and crushed in spirit.
19 The righteous person has many troubles, but Jehovah rescues him from all of them.
20 Jehovah guards all of his bones. Not one of them is broken.
