3 Most excellent Theophilus (Greek: Theo philos: friend of God): I have accurately traced the course of all things from the beginning. Now it seems good to me to write this report to you.
Bible verses about "orderliness" | NSB
Luke 1:3
Colossians 1:16-17
16 All things in the heavens and upon the earth where created through him. The things visible and invisible were created through him. Whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.
17 He is before all things, and through him all things originate.
Hebrews 13:7
7 Remember those who are taking the lead among you, men that spoke the Word of God to you. Consider their behavior and imitate their faith.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-22
1 For everything there is a season. There is a time for every purpose under the sun.
2 There is a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to get and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 There is a time to tear and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak.
8 There is also a time to love and a time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace.
9 What profit is there to the worker in his work?
10 I have seen the task that God has given with which the sons of men are occupied.
11 He made everything appropriate (beautiful) (good) in its time. God placed eternity in the heart of man. For man is unable to see the works of God from the first to the last.
12 I am certain that there is nothing better for a man than to rejoice and to do good works in life.
13 Every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor. It is the gift of God.
14 I know that whatever God does it will be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor any thing taken from it. God does it in order that men should reverence (respect) him.
15 That which is has already been and that which is to be has already been. God seeks what has passed by.
16 I saw under the sun the place of judgment and wickedness was there. And wickedness was in the place of righteousness.
17 I said in my heart, »God should judge the righteous and the wicked for there is a time for every purpose and for every work.«
18 I said in my heart concerning the condition of the sons of men, »God tested them that they might see that they are like animals.«
19 What happens to the sons of men also happens to animals. As the one dies so the other dies. Yes, they all have one breath so that a man has no advantage over animals. For all is vanity.
20 All go to one place. All came from the dust and all return to dust.
21 Who knows the breath of man that goes upward, and the breath of the animal that goes downward to the earth?
22 I see there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his own works. That is his portion. Who will bring him to see what will happen after him?
Proverbs 24:30-32
Romans 12:2
2 Do not be conformed to this world (religious, social, political, and economic arrangement). But be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Titus 2:3-5
3 Aged women likewise should be reverent in behavior and teachers of that which is good. They should not be slanderers nor enslaved to too much wine.
4 They may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God will not be (defamed) dishonored.
Genesis 1:1-31
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form and empty. Darkness covered the deep water. The Spirit of God hovered over the waters.
3 Then God said: »Let there be light!« And there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good. God separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light day. He called the darkness night. There was evening and there was morning, one day.
6 Then God said: »Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters. Let it separate the waters from the waters.«
7 God made the expanse. He separated the waters that were below the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. It was so.
8 God called the expanse heaven. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.
9 Then God said: »Let the waters below the atmosphere be gathered into one place. Let the dry land appear.« It was so.
10 God called the dry land earth. The gathering of the waters He called seas. God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said: »Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them.« It was so.
12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind. God saw that it was good.
13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day.
14 Then God said: »Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. Let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.
15 »Let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth.« It was so.
16 God made the two great lights. The sun was to govern the day. The moon was to govern the night. He made the stars also.
17 He placed the lights in the sky to shine on the earth.
18 The lights were to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. God saw that it was good.
19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
20 God said: »Let the waters be filled with many kinds of living beings, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the sky.«
21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves in the waters after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them and said: »Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.«
23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
24 God said: »Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.« It was so.
25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds. He made the livestock according to their kinds and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said: »Let us make man in our image, in our likeness. Let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth and over all the creatures that move along the ground.«
27 God created man in his own image. In the image of God he created him. He created male and female.
28 God blessed them and said to them: »Be fruitful and increase in number. Fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and dominate the birds of the air. Have dominion over every living creature that moves on the ground.«
29 Then God said: »I give you every plant that bears seed on the face of the entire earth. I also give you every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
30 »Also every beast of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground; everything that has the breath of life in it, I give every green plant for food.« It was so.
31 God saw all that he had made. It was very good. There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.
1 Corinthians 14:40
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
