²⁸ And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, bow they grow. They neither toil nor spin. ²⁹ But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was arrayed like one of these. ³⁰ If God so clothes the herbage of the field, to-day growing and to-morrow thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of so little faith?

¹⁹ Because what may be known of God is manifest within them, for God has manifested it to them. ²⁰ For God's invisible qualities — his everlasting power and deity — are, since the creation of the world, clearly seen, being known from what he has made. So they are without any excuse.

¹⁹ For the earnest expectation of the creation is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God. ²⁰ For the creation was made subject to folly not willingly, but for the sake of him who subjected it, in hope, ²¹ because the creation itself will be freed from the slavery of decay into the glorious freedom of the children of God. ²² For we know that all the creation groans in the pangs of childbirth until now.
