¹³ For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother's womb. ¹⁴ I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are your works; and that my soul knows right well. ¹⁵ My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the low parts of the earth. ¹⁶ your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

⁵ Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.

³ Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word (o. rhema) of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

¹ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

²⁷ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
