10 "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth."
Bible verses about "rest" | VIN
Psalms 46:10
Isaiah 40:28-31
28 "Do you not know? Have you not heard? the LORD IS THE EVERLASTING GOD, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and no one can measure (find out) his understanding.
29 He gives power to the weary, and he increases power for the powerless.
30 Even young people grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall.
31 "Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary! They will walk and not be faint."
Jeremiah 31:25
25 For I shall feed the hungry soul, and refresh all faint hearts."
Hebrews 4:1-11
1 Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it.
2 For we also have had the good news preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.
3 Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I swore on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world.
4 For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this manner: “And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.”
5 And again in this place he said, "They shall never enter my rest."
6 Therefore since it remains for some to enter into it, and those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not enter because of disobedience,
7 God again designated a certain day as “Today,” when a long time later He spoke through David, as was already stated: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
8 Now if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.
9 There remains then a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
10 for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.
11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fail by following their example of disobedience.
Exodus 34:21
21 "For six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during plowing time and harvest you shall rest.
Psalms 4:8
8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, LORD, enable me to live securely.
Psalms 37:7
7 Surrender to the LORD and wait patiently for him. Do not be preoccupied with an evildoer who succeeds in his way when he carries out his schemes.
Isaiah 30:15
15 For the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, said, In quiet and rest is your salvation: peace and hope are your strength: but you would not have it so.
Matthew 11:29
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.
Mark 6:31
31 Because so many were coming and going that they did not even have leisure to eat, He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest awhile”.
Psalms 127:2
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones.
Exodus 33:14
14 He said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
