³¹ Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on him, If ye continue in my word, ye are my disciples indeed; ³² And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. ¹⁹ Because that which may be known of God, is manifest in them; for God hath shown it to them. ²⁰ For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

¹⁷ So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

²¹ Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. ²² Abstain from all appearance of evil.

² And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

³⁶ He that believeth on the Son, hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
