Ephesians 4:27

27 stop giving the devil a chance.

James 1:3

3 for you surely know that what is genuine in your faith produces the patient mind that endures;

James 1:2-4

2 You must consider it the purest joy, my brothers, when you are involved in various trials, 3 for you surely know that what is genuine in your faith produces the patient mind that endures; 4 but you must let your endurance come to its perfect product, so that you may be fully developed and perfectly equipped, without any defects.

James 1:12

Matthew 4:1-11

1 Then Jesus was guided by the Spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, He at last felt hungry. 3 And the tempter came up and said to Him, "If you are God's Son, order these stones to turn to bread." 4 But he answered, "The Scripture says, 'Not on bread alone can man live, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" 5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city, and had Him stand on the tip-top turret of the temple, 6 and said to Him, "If you are God's Son, throw yourself down, for the Scripture says: "'He will give His angels directions about you, And they will bear you up on their hands, so you will never strike your foot against a stone.'" 7 Jesus said to him, "Again the Scripture says, 'You must not try the Lord your God.'" 8 Again the devil took him up on a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and their splendor, 9 and said to Him, "Every bit of this I will give to you, if you will fall on your knees and worship me." 10 Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone, Satan! For the Scripture says, 'You must worship the Lord your God, and serve Him alone.'" 11 Then the devil left Him, and angels came and continued to wait upon Him.

Ephesians 6:11

James 1:12-16

12 Blessed is the person who endures trial, for when he stands the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him. 13 No one must say, when he is tempted to do evil, "I have a temptation from God to do evil," for God cannot be tempted to do evil, and He never tempts anyone to do so. 14 But anyone is tempted to do evil when he is allured by his own evil desire and enticed by a bait. 15 Then evil desire conceives and gives birth to sin, and when sin is completed, it brings forth death. 16 You must avoid being misled, my dearly loved brothers.

Matthew 26:41

41 You must all keep watching and praying that you may not be exposed to temptation. Man's spirit is willing but human nature is weak."

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No temptation has taken hold of you but what is common to human nature. And God is to be trusted not to let you be tempted beyond your strength, but when temptation comes, to make a way out of it, so that you can bear up under it.
