²⁵ Wolf and lamb do feed as one, And a lion as an ox eateth straw, As to the serpent—dust is its food, They do no evil, nor destroy, In all My holy mountain, said Jehovah!

⁶ And a wolf hath sojourned with a lamb, And a leopard with a kid doth lie down, And calf, and young lion, and fatling are together, And a little youth is leader over them.

⁶ and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'

²¹ And God prepareth the great monsters, and every living creature that is creeping, which the waters have teemed with, after their kind, and every fowl with wing, after its kind, and God seeth that it is good.

³⁰ and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the heavens, and to every creeping thing on the earth, in which is breath of life, every green herb is for food:' and it is so.

¹¹ Teaching us more than the beasts of the earth, Yea, than the fowl of the heavens He maketh us wiser.'

⁷ And yet, ask, I pray thee, One of the beasts, and it doth shew thee, And a fowl of the heavens, And it doth declare to thee. ⁸ Or talk to the earth, and it sheweth thee, And fishes of the sea recount to thee: ⁹ `Who hath not known in all these, That the hand of Jehovah hath done this? ¹⁰ In whose hand is the breath of every living thing, And the spirit of all flesh of man.'

⁹ Good is Jehovah to all, And His mercies are over all His works.

¹⁸ I said in my heart concerning the matter of the sons of man that God might cleanse them, so as to see that they themselves are beasts. ¹⁹ For an event is to the sons of man, and an event is to the beasts, even one event is to them; as the death of this, so is the death of that; and one spirit is to all, and the advantage of man above the beast is nothing, for the whole is vanity. ²⁰ The whole are going unto one place, the whole have been from the dust, and the whole are turning back unto the dust. ²¹ Who knoweth the spirit of the sons of man that is going up on high, and the spirit of the beast that is going down below to the earth?

² and your fear and your dread is on every beast of the earth, and on every fowl of the heavens, on all that creepeth on the ground, and on all fishes of the sea—into your hand they have been given. ³ Every creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food; as the green herb I have given to you the whole;

²⁶ look to the fowls of the heaven, for they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into storehouses, and your heavenly Father doth nourish them; are not ye much better than they?

²⁶ And God saith, `Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth.' <sup>27</sup> And God prepareth the man in His image; in the image of God He prepared him, a male and a female He prepared them. <sup>28</sup> And God blesseth them, and God saith to them, `Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping upon the earth.'

¹⁰ The righteous knoweth the life of his beast, And the mercies of the wicked are cruel.
