Bible verses about "loved ones in heaven" | YLT

Luke 16:19-31

19 `And—a certain man was rich, and was clothed in purple and fine linen, making merry sumptuously every day, 20 and there was a certain poor man, by name Lazarus, who was laid at his porch, full of sores, 21 and desiring to be filled from the crumbs that are falling from the table of the rich man; yea, also the dogs, coming, were licking his sores. 22 `And it came to pass, that the poor man died, and that he was carried away by the messengers to the bosom of Abraham—and the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 and in the hades having lifted up his eyes, being in torments, he doth see Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom, 24 and having cried, he said, Father Abraham, deal kindly with me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and may cool my tongue, because I am distressed in this flame. 25 `And Abraham said, Child, remember that thou did receive—thou—thy good things in thy life, and Lazarus in like manner the evil things, and now he is comforted, and thou art distressed; 26 and besides all these things, between us and you a great chasm is fixed, so that they who are willing to go over from hence unto you are not able, nor do they from thence to us pass through. 27 `And he said, I pray thee, then, father, that thou mayest send him to the house of my father, 28 for I have five brothers, so that he may thoroughly testify to them, that they also may not come to this place of torment. 29 `Abraham saith to him, They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them; 30 and he said, No, father Abraham, but if any one from the dead may go unto them, they will reform. 31 And he said to him, If Moses and the prophets they do not hear, neither if one may rise out of the dead will they be persuaded.'

John 14:6

6 Jesus saith to him, `I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one doth come unto the Father, if not through me;

1 Thessalonians 4:17

17 then we who are living, who are remaining over, together with them shall be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in air, and so always with the Lord we shall be;

Revelation 21:4

4 and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and the death shall not be any more, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor shall there be any more pain, because the first things did go away.'

Matthew 22:30

30 for in the rising again they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers of God in heaven.

John 3:16

16 for God did so love the world, that His Son—the only begotten—He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during.

1 Corinthians 2:9

9 but, according as it hath been written, `What eye did not see, and ear did not hear, and upon the heart of man came not up, what God did prepare for those loving Him—'

1 Corinthians 15:52

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we—we shall be changed:

2 Samuel 12:23

23 and now, he hath died, why is this—I fast? am I able to bring him back again? I am going unto him, and he doth not turn back unto me.'

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22

1 To everything—a season, and a time to every delight under the heavens: 2 A time to bring forth, And a time to die. A time to plant, And a time to eradicate the planted. 3 A time to slay, And a time to heal, A time to break down, And a time to build up. 4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh. A time to mourn, And a time to skip. 5 A time to cast away stones, And a time to heap up stones. A time to embrace, And a time to be far from embracing. 6 A time to seek, And a time to destroy. A time to keep, And a time to cast away. 7 A time to rend, And a time to sew. A time to be silent, And a time to speak. 8 A time to love, And a time to hate. A time of war, And a time of peace. 9 What advantage hath the doer in that which he is labouring at? 10 I have seen the travail that God hath given to the sons of man to be humbled by it.
11 The whole He hath made beautiful in its season; also, that knowledge He hath put in their heart without which man findeth not out the work that God hath done from the beginning even unto the end. 12 I have known that there is no good for them except to rejoice and to do good during their life, 13 yea, even every man who eateth and hath drunk and seen good by all his labour, it is a gift of God. 14 I have known that all that God doth is to the age, to it nothing is to be added, and from it nothing is to be withdrawn; and God hath wrought that they do fear before Him. 15 What is that which hath been? already it is, and that which is to be hath already been, and God requireth that which is pursued.
16 And again, I have seen under the sun the place of judgment—there is the wicked; and the place of righteousness—there is the wicked. 17 I said in my heart, `The righteous and the wicked doth God judge, for a time is to every matter and for every work there.' 18 I said in my heart concerning the matter of the sons of man that God might cleanse them, so as to see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For an event is to the sons of man, and an event is to the beasts, even one event is to them; as the death of this, so is the death of that; and one spirit is to all, and the advantage of man above the beast is nothing, for the whole is vanity. 20 The whole are going unto one place, the whole have been from the dust, and the whole are turning back unto the dust. 21 Who knoweth the spirit of the sons of man that is going up on high, and the spirit of the beast that is going down below to the earth? 22 And I have seen that there is nothing better than that man rejoice in his works, for it is his portion; for who doth bring him in to look on that which is after him?

John 14:1-30

1 `Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, also in me believe; 2 in the house of my Father are many mansions; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you; 3 and if I go on and prepare for you a place, again do I come, and will receive you unto myself, that where I am ye also may be;
4 and whither I go away ye have known, and the way ye have known.' 5 Thomas saith to him, `Sir, we have not known whither thou goest away, and how are we able to know the way?' 6 Jesus saith to him, `I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one doth come unto the Father, if not through me; 7 if ye had known me, my Father also ye would have known, and from this time ye have known Him, and have seen Him.' 8 Philip saith to him, `Sir, shew to us the Father, and it is enough for us;' 9 Jesus saith to him, `So long time am I with you, and thou hast not known me, Philip? he who hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how dost thou say, Shew to us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? the sayings that I speak to you, from myself I speak not, and the Father who is abiding in me, Himself doth the works; 11 believe me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; and if not, because of the works themselves, believe me.
12 `Verily, verily, I say to you, he who is believing in me, the works that I do—that one also shall do, and greater than these he shall do, because I go on to my Father; 13 and whatever ye may ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; 14 if ye ask anything in my name I will do it .
15 `If ye love me, my commands keep, 16 and I will ask the Father, and another Comforter He will give to you, that he may remain with you—to the age; 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it doth not behold him, nor know him, and ye know him, because he doth remain with you, and shall be in you.
18 `I will not leave you bereaved, I come unto you; 19 yet a little, and the world doth no more behold me, and ye behold me, because I live, and ye shall live; 20 in that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you; 21 he who is having my commands, and is keeping them, that one it is who is loving me, and he who is loving me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.' 22 Judas saith to him, (not the Iscariot), `Sir, what hath come to pass, that to us thou are about to manifest thyself, and not to the world?' 23 Jesus answered and said to him, `If any one may love me, my word he will keep, and my Father will love him, and unto him we will come, and abode with him we will make; 24 he who is not loving me, my words doth not keep; and the word that ye hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.
25 `These things I have spoken to you, remaining with you, 26 and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I said to you. 27 `Peace I leave to you; my peace I give to you, not according as the world doth give do I give to you; let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid;
28 ye heard that I said to you—I go away, and I come unto you; if ye did love me, ye would have rejoiced that I said—I go on to the Father, because my Father is greater than I. 29 `And now I have said it to you before it come to pass, that when it may come to pass, ye may believe; 30 I will no more talk much with you, for the ruler of this world doth come, and in me he hath nothing;

1 John 3:2

2 beloved, now, children of God are we, and it was not yet manifested what we shall be, and we have known that if he may be manifested, like him we shall be, because we shall see him as he is;

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, that ye may not sorrow, as also the rest who have not hope, 14 for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also God those asleep through Jesus he will bring with him, 15 for this to you we say in the word of the Lord, that we who are living—who do remain over to the presence of the Lord—may not precede those asleep, 16 because the Lord himself, in a shout, in the voice of a chief-messenger, and in the trump of God, shall come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, 17 then we who are living, who are remaining over, together with them shall be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in air, and so always with the Lord we shall be; 18 so, then, comfort ye one another in these words.
