¹ Ho, every thirsty one, come ye to the waters, And he who hath no money, Come ye, buy and eat, yea, come, buy Without money and without price, wine and milk. ² Why do ye weigh money for that which is not bread? And your labour for that which is not for satiety? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat good, And your soul doth delight itself in fatness.

⁴ and the passover was nigh, the feast of the Jews.

²² And the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness, temperance: against such there is no law; ²⁴ and those who are Christ's, the flesh did crucify with the affections, and the desires;

² beloved, concerning all things I desire thee to prosper, and to be in health, even as thy soul doth prosper,

³ aged women, in like manner, in deportment as doth become sacred persons, not false accusers, to much wine not enslaved, of good things teachers, ⁴ that they may make the young women sober-minded, to be lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children, ⁵ sober, pure, keepers of their own houses, good, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be evil spoken of.

³⁴ `And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts may be weighed down with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day may come on you,

¹⁶ And I say: In the Spirit walk ye, and the desire of the flesh ye may not complete;

¹⁹ whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who the things on earth are minding.

² And thou hast put a knife to thy throat, If thou art a man of appetite.

⁸ Vanity and a lying word put far from me, Poverty or wealth give not to me, Cause me to eat the bread of my portion,

²⁰ Be not thou among quaffers of wine, Among gluttonous ones of flesh,

²⁰ Be not thou among quaffers of wine, Among gluttonous ones of flesh, ²¹ For the quaffer and glutton become poor, And drowsiness clotheth with rags.

¹⁹ Have ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own, ²⁰ for ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
