²⁷ A habitation is the eternal God, And beneath are arms age-during. And He casteth out from thy presence the enemy, and saith, `Destroy!'

² Bless, O my soul, Jehovah, And forget not all His benefits, ³ Who is forgiving all thine iniquities, Who is healing all thy diseases, ⁴ Who is redeeming from destruction thy life, Who is crowning thee—kindness and mercies,

¹ A Song of the Ascents. I lift up mine eyes unto the hills, Whence doth my help come? ² My help is from Jehovah, maker of heaven and earth, ³ He suffereth not thy foot to be moved, Thy preserver slumbereth not. ⁴ Lo, He slumbereth not, nor sleepeth, He who is preserving Israel. ⁵ Jehovah is thy preserver, Jehovah is thy shade on thy right hand, ⁶ By day the sun doth not smite thee, Nor the moon by night. ⁷ Jehovah preserveth thee from all evil, He doth preserve thy soul. ⁸ Jehovah preserveth thy going out and thy coming in, From henceforth even unto the age!

¹⁷ No weapon formed against thee prospereth, And every tongue rising against thee, In judgment thou condemnest. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness from me, an affirmation of Jehovah!

⁵ And he is pierced for our transgressions, Bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement of our peace is on him, And by his bruise there is healing to us.

¹⁴ `For, if ye may forgive men their trespasses He also will forgive you—your Father who is in the heavens; ¹⁵ but if ye may not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

⁶ Jesus saith to him, `I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one doth come unto the Father, if not through me;

³⁴ Jesus answered them, `Verily, verily, I say to you—Every one who is committing sin, is a servant of the sin,

¹⁹ Have ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own, ²⁰ for ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

¹⁶ Be confessing to one another the trespasses, and be praying for one another, that ye may be healed; very strong is a working supplication of a righteous man;

¹ And faith is of things hoped for a confidence, of matters not seen a conviction,

⁹ if we may confess our sins, stedfast He is and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from every unrighteousness;

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-born out of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth; to him who did love us, and did bathe us from our sins in his blood,

¹² because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places;

¹ Beloved, every spirit believe not, but prove the spirits, if of God they are, because many false prophets have gone forth to the world;

¹ As to the rest, then, brethren, we request you, and call upon you in the Lord Jesus, as ye did receive from us how it behoveth you to walk and to please God, that ye may abound the more, ² for ye have known what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus, ³ for this is the will of God—your sanctification; that ye abstain from the whoredom, ⁴ that each of you know his own vessel to possess in sanctification and honour, ⁵ not in the affection of desire, as also the nations that were not knowing God, ⁶ that no one go beyond and defraud in the matter his brother, because an avenger is the Lord of all these, as also we spake before to you and testified, ⁷ for God did not call us on uncleanness, but in sanctification; ⁸ he, therefore, who is despising—doth not despise man, but God, who also did give His Holy Spirit to us.
⁹ And concerning the brotherly love, ye have no need of my writing to you, for ye yourselves are God-taught to love one another, ¹⁰ for ye do it also to all the brethren who are in all Macedonia; and we call upon you, brethren, to abound still more, ¹¹ and to study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we did command you, ¹² that ye may walk becomingly unto those without, and may have lack of nothing.
¹³ And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, that ye may not sorrow, as also the rest who have not hope, ¹⁴ for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also God those asleep through Jesus he will bring with him, ¹⁵ for this to you we say in the word of the Lord, that we who are living—who do remain over to the presence of the Lord—may not precede those asleep, ¹⁶ because the Lord himself, in a shout, in the voice of a chief-messenger, and in the trump of God, shall come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, ¹⁷ then we who are living, who are remaining over, together with them shall be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in air, and so always with the Lord we shall be; ¹⁸ so, then, comfort ye one another in these words.

¹³ No temptation hath taken you—except human; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able, but He will make, with the temptation, also the outlet, for your being able to bear it .

² and be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what is the will of God—the good, and acceptable, and perfect.

¹³ because of this take ye up the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and all things having done—to stand. ¹⁴ Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about in truth, and having put on the breastplate of the righteousness, ¹⁵ and having the feet shod in the preparation of the good-news of the peace; ¹⁶ above all, having taken up the shield of the faith, in which ye shall be able all the fiery darts of the evil one to quench, ¹⁷ and the helmet of the salvation receive, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the saying of God, ¹⁸ through all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the Spirit, and in regard to this same, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

⁴ for the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful to God for bringing down of strongholds,

³ for walking in the flesh, not according to the flesh do we war, ⁴ for the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful to God for bringing down of strongholds, ⁵ reasonings bringing down, and every high thing lifted up against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of the Christ,
