to praise," is an intensive form of aineo, Luke 16:8. It is elsewhere translated by the verb "to praise," in the RV, Romans 15:11; 1 Corinthians 11:2, 1 Corinthians 11:17, 1 Corinthians 11:22. See LAUD, PRAISE.

lit., "to give or deliver over" (para, "over" didomi, "to give"), is said of "commending," or "committing," servants of God to Him (AV, "recommend"), Acts 14:26; Acts 15:40. See BETRAY, BRING, B, Note

lit., "to put near" (para, "near"), in the Middle Voice, denotes "to place with someone, entrust, commit." In the sense of commending, it is said
(a) of the Lord Jesus in "commending" His spirit into the Father's hands, Luke 23:46;
(b) of "commending" disciples to God, Acts 14:23;

[ A-5,Verb,4921,sunistemi / sunistano ] lit., "to place together," denotes "to introduce one person to another, represent as worthy," e.g., Romans 3:5; Romans 5:8; Romans 16:1; 2 Corinthians 4:2; 2 Corinthians 6:4; 2 Corinthians 10:18; 2 Corinthians 12:11. In 2 Corinthians 3:1; 2 Corinthians 5:12; 2 Corinthians 10:12, the verb sunistano is used. See APPROVE, CONSIST, MAKE, STAND.
