[ 1,,G3045, liparos ]properly signifies oily, or anointed with oil" (from lipos, "grease," connected with aleipho, "to anoint"); it is said of things which pertain to delicate and sumptuous living; hence, "dainty," Revelation 18:14. In the Sept., Judges 3:29; Nehemiah 9:35; Isaiah 30:23.
