Note: In 2 Peter 1:14, AV, tachinos, an adjective denoting "swift" (akin to the above), is translated "shortly" (RV, "swiftly"), lit., "the putting off of my tabernacle is swift" (i.e., in its approach). Cp. 2 Peter 2:1.
