(a) metaphorically, in Romans 3:19, of "preventing" all excuse from Jew and Gentile, as sinners; in 2 Corinthians 11:10, lit., "this boasting shall not be stopped to me;" Passive Voice in both;
(b) physically, of the mouths of lions, Hebrews 11:33 (Active Voice).
