(a) of or in fields" (agros, "a field"), hence, "not domestic," said of honey, Matthew 3:4; Mark 1:6;
(b) "savage, fierce," Jude 1:13, RV, metaphorically, "wild (waves)," AV, "raging." It is used in the papyri of a malignant wound.

Note: In Revelation 6:8 the RV renders therion (plural) "wild beasts" (AV, "beasts").
