John 19:19-21

Anderson^{(i) 19} And Pilate wrote a superscription, and put it on the cross; and the writing was, JESUS THE NAZABENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS. ²⁰ Therefore many of the Jews read this superscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city. And it was written in Hebrew and in Greek and in Latin. ²¹ Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pi late: Write not, The king of the Jews; but, that he said, I am the king of the Jews.
