Luke 23:7-12 καὶ (and) ἐπιγνοὺς (having learned) ὅτι (that) ἐκ (from) τῆς (the) ἐξουσίας (jurisdiction) Ἡρῴδου (of Herod) ἐστὶν (He is), ἀνέπεμψεν (he sent up) αὐτὸν (Him) πρὸς (to) Ἡρῴδην (Herod), ὄντα (being) καὶ (also) αὐτὸν (he himself) ἐν (in) Ἱεροσολύμοις (Jerusalem) ἐν (in) ταύταις (those) ταῖς (-) ἡμέραις (days).

BIB⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷ καὶ (and) ἐπιγνοὺς (having learned) ὅτι (that) ἐκ (from) τῆς (the) ἐξουσίας (jurisdiction) Ἡρῴδου (of Herod) ἐστὶν (He is), ἀνέπεμψεν (he sent up) αὐτὸν (Him) πρὸς (to) Ἡρῴδην (Herod), ὄντα (being) καὶ (also) αὐτὸν (he himself) ἐν (in) Ἱεροσολύμοις (Jerusalem) ἐν (in) ταύταις (those) ταῖς (-) ἡμέραις (days). ⁸ Ὁ (-) δὲ (And) Ἡρῴδης (Herod), ἰδὼν (having seen) τὸν (-) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus), ἐχάρη (was glad) λίαν (exceedingly); ἦν (he was) γὰρ (for) ἐξ (of) ἱκανῶν (a long) χρόνων (time) θέλων (wishing) ἰδεῖν (to see) αὐτὸν (Him), διὰ (because of) τὸ (-) ἀκούειν (hearing) περὶ (concerning) αὐτοῦ (Him); καὶ (and) ἤλπιζέν (he was hoping) τι (some) σημεῖον (sign) ἰδεῖν (to see) ὑπ’ (by) αὐτοῦ (Him) γινόμενον (done). ⁹ ἐπηρώτα (He kept questioning) δὲ (then) αὐτὸν (Him) ἐν (in) λόγοις (words) ἱκανοῖς (many); αὐτὸς (He) δὲ (however) οὐδὲν (nothing) ἀπεκρίνατο (answered) αὐτῷ (him). ¹⁰ Εἱστήκεισαν (Had been standing by) δὲ (now) οἱ (the) ἀρχιερεῖς (chief priests) καὶ (and) οἱ (the) γραμματεῖς (scribes), εὐτόνως (vehemently) κατηγοροῦντες (accusing) αὐτοῦ (Him). ¹¹ ἐξουθενήσας (Having set at naught) δὲ (then) αὐτὸν (Him), ‹καὶ› (also) ὁ (-) Ἡρῴδης (Herod) σὺν (with) τοῖς (the) στρατεύμασιν (troops) αὐτοῦ (of him), καὶ (and) ἐμπαίξας (having mocked Him), περιβαλὼν (having put on Him) ἐσθῆτα (apparel) λαμπρὰν (splendid), ἀνέπεμψεν (sent back) αὐτὸν (him) τῷ (to) Πιλάτῳ (Pilate). ¹² Ἐγένοντο (Became) δὲ (then) φίλοι (friends) ὅ (-) τε (both) Ἡρῴδης (Herod) καὶ (and) ὁ (-) Πιλᾶτος (Pilate) ἐν (on) αὐτῇ (that) τῇ (-) ἡμέρᾳ (day) μετ’ (with) ἀλλήλων (one another); προϋπῆρχον (previously it had been that) γὰρ (for) ἐν (at) ἔχθρᾳ (enmity) ὄντες (they were) πρὸς (between) αὑτούς (themselves).
