Mark 6:17 Αὐτὸς (Himself) γὰρ (for) ὁ (-) Ἡρῴδης (Herod), ἀποστείλας (having sent), ἐκράτησεν (seized) τὸν (-) Ἰωάννην (John) καὶ (and) ἔδησεν (bound) αὐτὸν (him) ἐν (in) φυλακῇ (prison), διὰ (on account of) Ἡρῳδιάδα (Herodias), τὴν (the) γυναῖκα (wife) Φιλίππου (of Philip) τοῦ (the) ἀδελφοῦ (brother) αὐτοῦ (of him), ὅτι (because) αὐτὴν (her) ἐγάμησεν (he had married).
