Mark 6:35-44 Καὶ (And) ἤδη (already) ὥρας (the hour) πολλῆς (late) γενομένης (being), προσελθόντες (having come) αὐτῷ (to Him), οἱ (the) μαθηταὶ (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ἔλεγον (were saying) ὅτι (-), “Ἔρημός (Desolate) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) τόπος (place), καὶ (and) ἤδη (already it is) ὥρα (an hour) πολλή (late).

BIB⁽ⁱ⁾ ³⁵ Καὶ (And) ἤδη (already) ὥρας (the hour) πολλῆς (late) γενομένης (being), προσελθόντες (having come) αὐτῷ (to Him), οἱ (the) μαθηταὶ (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ἔλεγον (were saying) ὅτι (-), “Ἔρημός (Desolate) ἐστιν (is) ὁ (the) τόπος (place), καὶ (and) ἤδη (already it is) ὥρα (an hour) πολλή (late). ³⁶ ἀπόλυσον (Dismiss) αὐτούς (them), ἵνα (that) ἀπελθόντες (having gone) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) κύκλῳ (surrounding) ἀγροὺς (region) καὶ (and) κώμας (villages), ἀγοράσωσιν (they might buy) ἑαυτοῖς (for themselves) τί (something) φάγωσιν (to eat).” ³⁷ Ὁ (-) δὲ (But) ἀποκριθεὶς (answering), εἶπεν (He said) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Δότε (Give) αὐτοῖς (to them) ὑμεῖς (you) φαγεῖν (something to eat).” Καὶ (And) λέγουσιν (they say) αὐτῷ (to Him), “Ἀπελθόντες (Having gone), ἀγοράσωμεν (shall we buy) δηναρίων (denarii) διακοσίων (two hundred) ἄρτους (of bread), καὶ (and) δώσομεν (give) αὐτοῖς (them) φαγεῖν (to eat)?” ³⁸ Ὁ (-) δὲ (And) λέγει (He says) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Πόσους (How many) ἔχετε (have you) ἄρτους (loaves)? ὑπάγετε (Go), ἴδετε (see).” Καὶ (And) γνόντες (having known), λέγουσιν (they say), “Πέντε (Five), καὶ (and) δύο (two) ἰχθύας (fish).” ³⁹ Καὶ (And) ἐπέταξεν (He commanded) αὐτοῖς (them) ἀνακλῖναι* (to make recline) πάντας (all), συμπόσια (groups) συμπόσια (by groups) ἐπὶ (on) τῷ (the) χλωρῷ (green) χόρτῳ (grass). ⁴⁰ καὶ (And) ἀνέπεσαν (they sat down) πρασιαὶ (groups) πρασιαὶ (by groups), κατὰ (by) ἑκατὸν (hundreds) καὶ (and) κατὰ (by) πεντήκοντα (fifties). ⁴¹ Καὶ (And) λαβὼν (having taken) τοὺς (the) πέντε (five) ἄρτους (loaves) καὶ (and) τοὺς (the) δύο (two) ἰχθύας (fish), ἀναβλέψας (having looked up) εἰς (to) τὸν (the) οὐρανὸν (heaven), εὐλόγησεν (He blessed) καὶ (and) κατέκλασεν (broke) τοὺς (the) ἄρτους (loaves), καὶ (and) ἐδίδου (He kept giving them) τοῖς (to the) μαθηταῖς (disciples) ‹αὐτοῦ› (of Him) ἵνα (that) παρατιθῶσιν (they might set before) αὐτοῖς (them). καὶ (And) τοὺς (the) δύο (two) ἰχθύας (fish) ἐμέρισεν (He divided) πᾶσιν (among all). ⁴² Καὶ (And) ἔφαγον (ate) πάντες (all) καὶ (and) ἐχορτάσθησαν (were satisfied). ⁴³ καὶ (And) ἦραν (they took up) κλάσματα (of fragments) δώδεκα (twelve) κοφίνων (hand-baskets) πληρώματα (full), καὶ (and) ἀπὸ (of) τῶν (the) ἰχθύων (fish). ⁴⁴ καὶ (And) ἦσαν (were) οἱ (those) φαγόντες (having eaten of) τοὺς (the) ἄρτους (loaves) πεντακισχίλιοι (five thousand) ἄνδρες (men).
