BIB⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁵⁴ πῶς (How) οὖν (then) πληρωθῶσιν (should be fulfilled) αἱ (the) γραφαὶ (Scriptures), ὅτι (that) οὕτως (so) δεῖ (it must) γενέσθαι (be)?” ⁵⁵ Ἐν (In) ἐκείνῃ (that) τῇ (-) ὥρᾳ (hour), εἶπεν (said) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) τοῖς (to the) ὄχλοις (crowds), “Ὡς (As) ἐπὶ (against) λῃστὴν (a robber) ἐξήλθατε (did you come out) μετὰ (with) μαχαιρῶν (swords) καὶ (and) ξύλων (clubs) συλλαβεῖν (to capture) με (Me)? καθ’ (Every) ἡμέραν (day) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) ἱερῷ (temple) ἐκαθεζόμην (I was sitting) διδάσκων (teaching), καὶ (and) οὐκ (not) ἐκρατήσατέ (you did seize) με (Me). ⁵⁶ Τοῦτο (This) δὲ (then) ὅλον (all) γέγονεν (is come to pass), ἵνα (that) πληρωθῶσιν (might be fulfilled) αἱ (the) γραφαὶ (Scriptures) τῶν (of the) προφητῶν (prophets).” Τότε (Then) οἱ (the) μαθηταὶ (disciples) πάντες (all), ἀφέντες (having forsaken) αὐτὸν (Him), ἔφυγον (fled).
