And it came to pass in His drawing near to Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting beside the road, begging.
And having heard a crowd passing along, he was asking what this might be.
And they told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”
And he called out saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
And those going before were rebuking him, that he should be silent. But he kept crying out much more, “Son of David, have mercy on me.”
And Jesus, having stopped, commanded him to be brought to Him. And of him having drawn near, He asked him,
“What do you desire I shall do to you?” And he said, “Lord, that I might receive sight.”
And Jesus said to him, “Receive sight! Your faith has healed you.”
And immediately he received sight and began following Him, glorifying God. And all the people having seen it gave praise to God.
