Matthew 16:13-17

Bishops^{(i) 13} When Iesus came into the coastes of Cesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying: Whom do men say that I the sonne of man am ¹⁴ They sayde: some say [that thou art] Iohn Baptist, some Helias, some Ieremias, or one of the prophetes ¹⁵ He sayth vnto them: but whom say ye that I am ¹⁶ Simon Peter aunswered and sayde: Thou art Christe, the sonne of the lyuyng God ¹⁷ And Iesus aunswered, and sayde vnto hym: happy art thou Simon Bar Iona, for flesh & blood hath not opened [that] vnto thee, but my father which is in heauen
