Now then, in whom do you trust, that you have revolted from me? ²¹ See now, are you trusting for yourself on this broken staff of reed, even upon Egypt? Whosoever shall lean upon it, it shall even go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust on him. ²² And whereas you have said to me, We trust on the Lord God: is not this He, whose high places and altars Hezekiah has removed, and has said to Judah and Jerusalem, You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?
