I have found no guilt deserving death in Him. Therefore when I have flogged Him, I will release Him." ²³ But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And their voices and those of the chief priests prevailed. ²⁴ So Pilate decided that their request should be carried out.
