Well-please you more than No Ammon who settles among the rivers surrounded by waters? Whose trench is the sea? And the sea her wall?
Kush and Misrayim her might and without end; and Put and Lubiym your helpers.
Yet was she is exiled; she goes into captivity: even her sucklings splatter at the top of all the outways: and they handle pebbles for her honorable men and chain all her great in chains.
Even you intoxicate; you become concealed: even you seek a stronghold because of the enemy.
All your fortresses are fig trees of the firstlings: if you shake, they fall into the mouth of the devourer.
Behold, your people among you are women: in opening, the gates of your land open to your enemies: the fire consumes your bars.
Bail waters for the siege; strengthen your fortresses: go into mire and tread the morter; strengthen the brickkiln:
there the fire consumes you; the sword cuts you off; deviours you as the cankerworm: multiply yourself as the cankerworm; multiply yourself as the locusts.
You abound your merchants above the stars of the heavens: the cankerworm spreads and flies.
Your princes are as the locusts and your officers as the grubbing grubbers who encamp in the walls in the cold day; and when the sun rises they flee, and the place where they are is not known.
Your tenders slumber, O sovereign of Ashshur; your mighty tabernacle: your people scatter on the mountains and no one gathers.
There is no healing of your breach; your wound is worn: all who hear your report clap their palms over you: for on whom passes not your evil continually?
