23 And Sichon gives not Yisra El to pass through his border: but Sichon gathers all his people together and goes and confronts Yisra El in the wilderness: and he comes to Yahsah who fights Yisra El:
24 and Yisra El smites him with the mouth of the sword and possesses his land from Arnon to Yabboq to the sons of Ammon: for the border of the sons of Ammon is strong.
25 And Yisra El takes all these cities: and Yisra El settles in all the cities of the Emoriy, in Heshbon and in all the daughters thereof.
26 For Heshbon is a city of Sichon the sovereign of the Emoriy, who fought the head sovereign of Moab and takes all his land from his hand, to Arnon.
27 So they who proverbialize say, Come into Heshbon, build the city of Sichon and prepare:
28 for there a fire goes from Heshbon a flame from the city of Sichon: it consumes Ar of Moab and the masters of the bamahs of Arnon.
29 Woe to you, Moab! You destruct, O people of Kemosh! He gives his sons and his daughters who escape to captivity to Sichon sovereign of the Emoriy.
30 And we shoot them! Heshbon destructs even to Dibon and we desolate them from Nophach to Medeba.
31 - thus Yisra El settles in the land of the Emoriy.
32 And Mosheh sends to spy Yazer and they capture the daughters thereof and dispossess the Emoriy there:
33 and they ascend from their face by the way of Bashan: and Og the sovereign of Bashan goes out confronting them - he and all his people to the war at Edrei.
34 And Yah Veh says to Mosheh, Awe him not: for I give him into your hand - all his people and his land; and work to him as you worked to Sichon sovereign of the Emoriy, who settles at Heshbon.
35 So they smite him and his sons and all his people, until no survivor survives: and they possess his land.
