21 Dear friends, if our consciences do not condemn us, we approach God with confidence,
22 and we obtain from him whatever we ask for, because we are obeying his commands and doing the things that please him.
23 His command is this—that we are to believe in his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he has commanded us to do.
24 All who obey his commands keep in union with him, and he does with them; and this is how we know that he keeps in union with us—by the Spirit which he has given us.
