Lamsa⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁸ And unto the angel of the church in Thya- tiÆra write: These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like unto a flame of fire, and whose feet are like fine brass from Lebanon; ¹⁹ I know your works, and love and faith, and service, and also your patience; and your last works are to be more abundant than the first. ²⁰ Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you allowed that woman of yours Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols. ²¹ And I gave her time to repent, but she did not repent from her fornication. ²² Behold I will cast her into a sick bed and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. ²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto everyone of you according to your works. ²⁴ But I say unto you, the rest of you in Thy-a-tiÆra, those of you who do not have this doctrine, and those who have not known, as they say, the depths of Satan, that I will not put upon you another burden.
