Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. ²¹ Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you. As My Father has sent Me, even so I send you. ²² And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. ²³ Of whomever sins you remit, they are remitted to them. Of whomever sins you retain, they are retained. ²⁴ But Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. ²⁵ The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I shall see the print of the nails in His hands, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe. ²⁶ And after eight days the disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace to you! ²⁷ Then He said to Thomas, Reach your finger here and behold My hands; and reach your hand here and thrust it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing. ²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! ²⁹ Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me you have believed. Blessed are they who have not seen and have believed.
