1 Peter 2:18-25

MLV(i) 18 Domestic servants, be subject to your masters in all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the crooked. 19 For this is grace, if anyone undergoes sorrows, suffering wrongfully because of his consciousness of God. 20 For what credit is it, if, when you are sinning and are battered for it, you will be enduring it? But if, when you are doing good and are suffering for it, you will be enduring it; this is grace with God. 21 For you were called into this, because Christ also suffered on our behalf, leaving a model for you, in order that you should follow after his footprints. 22 He who did no sin, nor was treachery found in his mouth; 23 who, being reviled, was not reviling again in return; when suffering, was not threatening, (but was giving himself to the one who judges righteously), 24 who, himself, carried our sins in his body upon the tree, in order that we might live to righteousness, having died to our sins; by whose wound s you were healed. 25 For you were being misled like sheep, but now were returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
