Acts 6:1-4

MLV(i) 1 Now in the days when the disciples were multiplying, there became a murmuring from the Grecian Jews aimed toward the Hebrews, because their widows were being left unattended in the daily service. 2 Now the twelve called the multitude of the disciples to them and said, It is not pleasing to God for us to have left the word of God to serve tables. 3 Therefore brethren, elect out of you seven men well testified of, full of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom, whom we might designate over this need. 4 But we will be persevering in prayer and in the service of the word.
